I turned it off out of pure frustration, I was winning but there were times when I just couldn't get close to their players, sweeping passing movements that the likes of Messi, Xavi et al would be proud of

It really is shit. The CPU team mates are so slow to react to things to. If you're not in midfield, you end up going way out of position to make things happen. I've now resorted to controlling all players.

It's good when you're playing against another human, but playing against the CPU can be frustrating and unrealistic. They've ruined that aspect of the game. It was much better on FIFA11. However, the career/manager mode is much better.

Loving career mode. I'm managing Bristol City - well into the second season in charge. I finished 16th in my first season. While crashing out of both domestic cups in the first round. At present in our second season we are amongst the top four and have a League Cup semi-final against Aston Villa on the horizon. Blackburn and Liverpool were put to the sword in the previous two rounds.

Why Bristol City? I wanted to be a Championship side and I like both their home hit and the away strip. And their transfer budget wasn't that great, thus a bit more of a challenge.

In our first pre-season David James made a few blunders that cost us two friendlies. He was dropped and Smith (some random) was signed on a free to take up residency between the sticks. Smith had a decent start and settled in time. But in January someone tabled around £3,200,000 so he was out the door. James went back in as the number one and had a blinding season. He was one of the clubs best players from January onwards. He retired in the summer. I signed Gunnar Nielsen from Manchester City for £300,000 as I had to spread the funds to strengthen the squad as a whole, and secure a new (three stars) scout.

In defence Fontaine and Nyatanga have been first choice centre backs since the get-go. Ribeiro and Cole Skuse were the full-backs for the majority, with McGivern and Spence providing cover. Spence returned to his parent club in the summer. McGivern remains. I signed a few others while flogging the deadwood. Ruggeri and Jefferson Oliveira, both centre-backs, joined the ranks.

Marvin Elliot established himself as a first choice midfielder after a horrible start that saw him at odds with the manager, and almost parting ways with the club in the process. Cristian Brocchi, da Silva and de Feudis were all signed to bolster the midfield. Antonio da Silva had a good season but was sold to Blackpool in the summer, for two reasons. To bring the wage bill down and to allow Herve Mbega (signed for around £350,000) more first team opportunities. Mbega has been a revelation, putting in amazing performances and chipping in with a few goals when not showcasing a tackling master-class. Cole Skuse has returned to midfield in this second season and done quite well. Chris Herd was also bought from Aston Villa for £1,300,000 to bring versatility and cover. He can play central midfield, full-back and centre-back. Every game he has played he has shone. But, he has also suffered two long term injuries, meaning he has played maybe five games. Andros Townsend also signed from Tottenham, for around £1,500,000. Adomah has been working more as a centre forward and doing brilliant.

Maynard has established himself as the top forward. His value fluxuates between £7,500,000 and £9,000,000. He was top goal scorer last term and is again leading the pack this year. Kanu played his final year in football at Bristol City last season. He made important cameos. Pitman, Stead, Jackson, Taylor, etc, have all been sold on. Not one of them could muster an average showing between them. Okazaki was added to the attacking line for a club record £4,500,000. Also joining was Fornaroli on a free transfer. Lovrek for £380,000. Ajose on a free. No Byung Jun for £325,000. Everyone has played their part well enough, other than Lovrek who has been an absolute flop. I'm trying to sell him in the winter transfer window to cut my loses. If I can get £300,000 for him it'll only be an £80,000 loss.

I play a 4-3-3 / 4-3-2-1 or a 4-2-3-1 / 4-5-1 depending on the opposition, and whether it is home or away. I started on World Class before dropping to Professional as I was getting schooled my the CPU. I have been doing extremely well on Professional as of late so, it may be back to World Class shortly. I was struggling at Professional in the beginning, too. It has taken time to adjust to this FIFA. But this FIFA is at least enjoyable, in comparison to 10 and 11.

If your thinking about getting it then do and I'll throw ya afew beatings, seriously though Bill it's fantastic.

I'm gonna come out and say it lads, Fifa 12 is the best football game I have ever played... this is my first post in a fifa thread on this forum so you'll know I ain't coming in here talking shit for the laugh. Best football game yet.

It takes alot to master but even as a beginner it's alot of fun. Glad my previous PES experience came in handy against my brother (a seasoned fifa player), it turned into a game of my superior passing against his technical skills.

The thing that makes me love it is how good a single player can be, I remember back in PES's golden days I could easily beat a beginners whole team with one player, it's been a long time since I felt that kind of experience in a game until I started playing this new Fifa.

And that's a good thing?

Scored this in my BAP career earlier:

Hopefully, I can emulate that strike in clubs later

One thing that irks me a bit on Career Mode is the sheer amount of HUGE signings made by everyone in a transfer window, in January there was atleast ten signings atleast £30m+. I think pretty much every other world-class on the player has moved on for ridiculous money in the space of a season. Where-as last Fifa there wasn't much activity at all, and most squads were identical four years down the line - I feel like EA have still need to find that balance in that respect.

Still in a dilemma choosing which level to play with, with West Ham in the Prem. Playing on World Class I feel like, while the games are almost always even, I pretty much fancy my chances most games - but with Legendary, while I can always give a game and nick a point/win here and there, every player (regardless of shitness) seems to possess Messi's pace and dribbling skills and it just fucking sucks to play against.

What a crock of shit! If you save your replay in slow motion, it doesn't show the whole replay? I just scored a beautifully delicate dink goal and all I've got to show for it is the ball trickling in to the goal, while my VP runs off to celebrate. Bollocks.

Anyway, here's a screamer I scored with my VP (on World Class, I'm not sure why it says Amateur under the video):

http://www.ea.com/uk/football/videos/ugc/101225987

P.S. How do you embed? I tried copying and pasting the coding from EA, but the video wouldn't play.

EDIT:

CUNTS! CUNTS! CUUUUUUUNTS!!!

For the first time in my gaming life, I (my VP) scored directly from a corner and the replay wasn't available to sve after the game! I went to match details to see if they had me down as the scorer and I am. 69' - picture of a ball to indicate goal - 7 (shirt number) - Valenzuela (my VP). FUCKING BULLSHIT!

It was perfectly placed. It lobbed the keeper and the defender at the back post, narrowly missing the cross bar. I couldn't have placed it any better. :crymore:

Coincidentally, The Hive's 'Mad Man' was playing on my iTunes, which I set to random. :eek:hmy:

I had worse happen to me on the World Cup game where the computer scored a last minute equaliser against me to make it Benin 4-4 Mali or someone. The CPU actually scored with the goalie - after some scrambling in the area - with a Zola v Norwich type flick into the top corner. Unfortunately the replay went from showing the corner taker straight on to the players celebrating. It's best not to get annoyed by it as it's something that happens a lot with the Fifa games.

I don't know why but after I play online my VP keeps turning into Kaka in a Man U shirt. Does this happen to anyone else?

Kaka in a free agent shirt.

I only seem to encounter bugs while I'm online, though. If I'm online when I start FIFA, my controller setting is fucked up - I can only move my player with the right stick - so I have to keep chosing the correct one, before I start playing. Inconvenient.
