aha, thanks. I do see it in the level 11-20 catalogue. However, PS3 down tonight so have to wait another day for it. bastids
EDIT: The ability to change balls in Career Mode may be new for FIFA13. I am pretty sure in 12 we could only do it from the primary Customize FIFA menu so you would have to back out of Career Mode in 12 to change balls each time. But, for Career Mode in 13, I think ball selection needs completed in the Career Mode settings before you click play match.

Finally started my career with AFC Wimbledon last night. Drew 1-1 with Wycombe in the first game after conceding a last minute equaliser, go 2-0 up against Crystal Palace but lose 3-2 in Extra Time in the league cup and then err...........beat Port Vale away 8-3. Kind've ruined the realism of the first 2 games.

What difficulty level are you on? I'm struggling a bit in my Millwall game on World Class; I've got 2 wins and 2 losses in the league plus a League Cup match win so far. I may have gone too far down the young players with potential route and should probably have brought in some established players at the same time. I brought in Nick Powell, Lucas Piazon and Nic Yennaris on loan and bought Cedric Evina and some French right back. There is still time in the window but I've got less than £1.5m to spend with just under £6k remaining wage budget.
My French RB signing came at the perfect time as Alan Dunne just got injured and will be out for 4 weeks. The referee stopped the game when he was down injured, a split second before I fouled the opponent in the box! On the restart the ref gave me the ball in the box which I kept with my team despite the commentators suggesting I was about to give the ball back to the opponents. It's strange how they seem to have taken out the forced giving the ball back in these situations.

I've dropped down a level from Legendary to World Class, for my Grasshoppers (and now Hungary) career mode. It feels easier, but can be challenging, depending on the team you face, which is the way it should be. This is just a test season, so I've bought the Takeover thing (the cheapest one) from EAS FC store. I've bought a few high 70s players and it's relatively easy now. I think I'm going to quit at the end of this season and start a new Career Mode.
I like having themes, so my new Career will probably be a Scottish manager starting in the SPL, then trying to find a move to England. The players I buy will mostly be British and Irish.

[MENTION=1055]Phatmann[/MENTION] I'm on world class. I was struggling a bit to create clear cut chances in the first 2 games (1 goal came from a CPU defensive mistake and another from a set piece). Against Port Vale, I actually went 1-0 down but after that, nearly every attack I had I felt like I would score (and nearly did). Don't know why it happened, hopefully was just a one off.
Only managed to get 2 players in, both free agents, both Australian (one is David Carney, needed a left back).

all this talk above just highlights that i really suck at this game.
edit: was going out of my skull last night playing a drop in game where our human GK would take the ball and drop it out of bounds after every save he hung onto. Then move out of goal on the corner. He must have been trying to help an opposing player boost his stats. I left the match after the 5th time he did it (I thought the first two were by accident). what a prick. I hope the other 8 players quit on him as well

I play World class and get my ass kicked from time to time. I stay away from Pro Ranked matches as shit like that always happens. Really irritating.

I am stuck in Pro at the moment. Although I played Phats over the weekend and it helped me to start scoring more in Pro so I would like to go World Class. That has always been my problem - scoring when the chances arise. I have found that even in PES, playing a H2H opponent really helps you in offline CPU matches. Suddenly I realize how wussy the CPU Pro defense is in not going after balls when they should.

Seems like FIFA13 altered their data architecture. I downloaded a team from the Creation Centre (our local Richmond Kickers) and was going to do the same for Guatemala.
However, on each boot up, it reloads the Creation Centre team and takes a good 30sec or more for one team. I am impatient about games loading up, and was originally impressed how 13 loaded faster than 12 and didn't dump us out in the arena each time. But I deleted the Kickers download to save the time. Hate to know if more than one team takes longer.

I noticed even after I deleted the creation centre team, my FIFA still is looking for it on boot-up and dragging throught it. I might as well add the team again since I seem to be locked into "creation centre loading content"......dammit.

I can see if someone gets up 5-0 at the half, but I will give the man his due if beating me in a close game. Although, I should have quit on Phats a few times with him being 1-2 men down and still beating me :crymore::realmad:

I don't know from H2H personally. However we quit a clubs match in the first minute or 2 because Apps got server dropped and others were lagging and that eliminated us from a tournament so I know there is a penalty there.

It's incase you get into a game and it's soo laggy you have a chance to back out without penalty.
I hate how cheap some of the goals are in this game, sometimes I feel like I've been cheated out of winning against the CPU.
