Into Div 4 now online, 2nd season. I had two games left with 1 win required for promotion, and lost a 2-0 lead to balls it up, and lost my final game too. :/
Second time around, 2 wins, a draw and a loss so far. 6 games left, 1 win to stay up, 3 for promotion, 4 for the title. I always look to secure my status first and think about promotion later on. I haven't been relegated once yet.
Who's got UT stuff to give me? -_-

So, after getting promotion from Division 4, I would've been happy just to consolidate my position in Division 3 - there's around a 7k bonus for staying there anyway, but I somehow managed to get promotion.
Doing better than I expected in Division 2 as well. 3 wins from 3, and one more in my last 7 games will secure my Division 2 status. Wonderful!

I'm currently building my 'Asian Invasion' team, which looks like it's going to end up being a team full of Japanese and Korean players. No Chinese players in FUT, apparently. A couple of Iranian and Saudi players could possibly make it, too. If only Mahdavikia was still around, at his peak. Master League legend.

I scored an absolute screamer to win one of the FUT online cups, but it wasn't available in the post match highlights, to I couldn't save it. My left winger put in a cross from the left to the right, which curled away from the goal and bypassed everyone in box. Zabaleta ran up to the bouncing ball and hammered the volley from the right wing, about 30 yards out, back across the goal and into the far top corner. The goalie didn't have a chance.

No Lee Chung Yong either.... disappointing. Need to re-unite the Double Dragon team (with Kim Sung Yueng).
I've been building a La Liga team recently... it's pretty much there. Is it me, or is there a lack of decent strikers available from that league? You pretty much have a choice of Diego Costa, or Benzema! Here's my team currently:

Returning to FUT online late into the season is proving to be easy. Since returning to it, I went straight into a 14 win streak. I then lost a game, which was mainly down to trying to play a diamond formation populated by famous workhorses Riquelme, Veron, Banega and Gago. Was never going to be successful. I only managed to lose 2-1, though.
I'll try to post up my revised Argie League team when I get back home. I can't remember any of the defenders' names.

I was in my first season in division 2 with 1 game to go, only needing 1 point to hold. I was winning 1-0, comfortably leading. Get a message that FUT needs to shut down, get booted and lose DNF. Now I'm back in D3. Annoying!
I've also noticed that lobbed through passes are exploited to high heaven from D3 upwards. Get two strikers up top and two wingers, and just keep sending it forward. I wouldn't mind it so much, if I I had control over my defenders. I've had instances where the cursor is on my CB, while I'm making him run backwards. As soon as the through pass is played, the CPU takes over and either make the CB stop or take a step forwards.
Has anyone here won D1, yet?

Just missed out on it yesterday. Couldn't catch a break in the last game... nothing seemed to go for me. Oh well.
With regards to through balls... it's a common thing, not just on clubs. Doesn't require any skill to do it.
I don't know if you've noticed it (it's been more common in d1 for sure) - the amount of people who (straight from kickoff), play a L1+x pass with their striker to a midfielder, wait for a bit, then hoof the ball forward to him. Luckily, I haven't conceded a goal to it yet, but it's a very cheap tactic.

Yep. Every game. I try to block the runner. That seems to work well. The other is running straight from kick off. Again, you can easily block them, but when it's beastly players like Benteke, it's a real pain.
I'm not even sure that I want to go back to FUT, to be honest. It's the same every game. I started Seasons, but had to start from D10, since I didn't play it when I first got the game. The first game, I was winning 5-0 by half-time and the guy DNF'd. I won the next 4-1 and just couldn't be arsed to continue. I might just stick to Clubs and offline career mode.

I find that pretty easy to cope with actually. Take a couple of steps back whilst holding L2 (or is it R2? The button that keeps your player facing the ball when moving back/side to side), then put the tackle in. Works most times for me. I love it when you score 3 or 4 goals against them, and EVERY time they try running from KO... failing each time.

Yeah, I do the same. I usually put the cursor on the player behind my forward (CPU controlled) and make the forward press. If my opponent's striker manages to get past him, then I pounce with the second player. It doesn't work all the time, though. What annoys me most is that people try it all the time, more so than any difficulty defending it.
