Isn't number 3 just the default celebration?

Is it? :erm:

I can agree with you on the first point but not on the rest. People dribbling forward straight from kick-off makes it so much easier to gain possession early in the match so I see it as an advantage.

It's just annoying the amount of people who do it from every kickoff. I don't think I've even conceded from it yet, but they keep trying. It's like those idiots who always play it short from a goalkick.

i noticed the only time we ever dribble forward from a kickoff is after a goal is scored on us; it is like a temper tantrum move. works to an advantage more times than doesn't to get a shot off or at least a true opportunity. However, typically it is the dribbler and maybe one other accompanying attacker all by themselves against 11

What's wrong with playing it out from the back from a goalkick?

I don't mind that at all. I've not played much against randoms this year but I usually get a sack full of goals from people passing it out with their keeper. Same with PES.

Nothing.... but when they've already conceded one goal because I've intercepted one of their keeper's short passes and they do the same thing AGAIN... well that's just idiotic. They'll keep doing it no matter how risky it is.

As I've said, I haven't conceded a goal from it yet. :folarm:
Just annoying that some players are so one-note.

I play it short from goal kicks whenever possible, because going long is just handing your opponent possession and a chance to run at your defence, 9 times out of 10.

i have a socio-gaming question.

Playing UTD in career, Martin Tyler repeatedly tells the story of driving home after a match and hearing the news that Sir Alex announce his retirement. Alan Smith replies with his surprise at the news as well and mentions it being a "JFK moment". Is this same commentary used on the European verison of FIFA? and if so, does anyone in the UK know what a JFK moment is?

They're referring to the assassination of President Kennedy. The comparison they're drawing is that everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news of Ferguson's retirement in the same way that people remember where they were when they heard the news of JFK's assassination.

Just for the record, i do know the saying, but I am surprised, given it is a very American saying, that it could be used worldwide, or at least in the UK. is it in your version of the game?

on a side note, I wasn't born before Kennedy was assassinated, but we often use the same kind of reference when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded. I was in a shopping mall and waked past a TV set moments after it happened.

The assassination of a US president is a major worldwide event, "JFK moment" is not just an American saying.

I've finally started adjusting CPU sliders. I've increased both pass and first touch errors to 60. I'm playing Career Mode on World Class in Serie B. I can't have CPU defenders with overall ratings in the 60s dribble like Messi and pick passes out like Gerrard. They still can make good passes and keep possession, but now, they misplace passes or don't dribble cleanly when I apply enough pressure. I'm winning more games, but still lose points occasionally.

I think I adjusted the CPU shot and pass error up to around 58, and put the human first touch error to 45 and noticed a big difference. It plays much better.

Not sure it really matters, it's the same game afterall so all the settings should be the same. :)

yeeupp,

pass error and shot error for the cpu upped for me, man marking for the cpu turned down, and first touch error increased for the cpu.

i also have to decrease sprint speed to 45 and acceleration to 49 or 48 for both cpu and human equally. huge difference between 48 and 50 acceleration.

Had a rather amusing moment in a 1v1 match before. Guy goes to try and pick the ball up off the pitch to take a quick throw. As he tries to pick it up, my player runs up and boots the ball high into the stands.
