but i will also buy fifa 2004 and club football.
i have an xbox u see and a ps2 so i will but fifa and club football for xbox and pes3 4 ps2 so i don't get confused with the controls

Here in Norway, the PES-series have become much bigger than the FIFA-series. Fifa 2003 only had half as much sales comparing to PES2. Also, here in Norway they had a lot of marketing on PES2. I saw a TV-commercial of PES2 almost every day last year (specially in the months of october,november and december). The commercial had a slogan, and it was: "If football is your religion, worship it at the ultimate altar. PES2, it doesn't get any better than this".

I remember I thought the commercial was real good, showing a bit of the PES2 intro with Queens "we will rock you" and then some real gameplay, for example Beckham making a free-kick goal for England against Brazil.

Maybe the commercial was one of the reasons PES2 smashed FIFA2003 here in Norway.

It shows Beckham curling in a free-kick-goal against Brazil. Zidane dribbling past Rio Ferdinand, and the put the ball around Seaman and into the goal. And it shows Vieri scoring on a header against Germany. Can't remember more, it's been a while since I saw it. But soon PES3 probably will come on Norwegian screens with a smashing commercial.

Also, I talked with the webmaster of this great swedish PES site (pes.nu) and obviously the word had spread all the way to Sweden, because he had heard about the smashing victory PES2 had over the other football games here in Norway. So KONAMI must be doing something right here in Norway, and hopefully they will manage to do this in other countries as wll with PES3. With a TV-commercial or two, PES3 will smash FIFA2004 in all countries of the world.
But seriously, haven't you heard PES2's slogan before?????

I have heard that slogan before. Never in an advertisement, though. I think Giggsy11 derived his sig from it.

I find it surprising Konami don't advertise as much elsehwere. Although, if you think about it, aren't the PES Leagues one big advertisement? Certainly shows off the product.

Lament of Innocence got a great ad online a week ago. Really beautiful. KCET too. Ranks among Conker's Bad Fur Day as one of the best gaming ads ever. CBFD was so utterly funny.

I saw the slogan in a PES2 newspaper advert last year. There was a picture of a church stained-glass window of a PES2 shirt and the slogan was below it.

FIFA don't even come close to PES but its still good.

look at all the money EA invest in to it every year and its probably the best selling footie franchise EVER.

whatever happens we must praise EA SPORTS for the effort.

Make no mistake PES is and always will be the best but i don't think its right that people have a go at FIFA.

Look man, fifa has been crap since 2000 onwards, yes i admit i owned a copy of 99' but that was in my younger days b4 i discovered iss. has any fifa game been better than any iss game? im not sure, perhaps the n64 games. but anyway were it not for fifa konami would not have such a hard time making pes, yes fifa sells a shitload more than pes, but if s club juniors get to number one every time in the music charts would that make them the best music act? its like the difference between beckham and zidane. one is an overexposed tart preying on the wallets of the 7 year olds that buy the products; the other is the best by far yet by comparison recieves little acclaim.
