Yes, FIFA looks better than PES but PES just plays better!

I am from sub-continet and I am not an expert in football but I like to play football games on my consoles. I started playing PES series by playing PES 5 and I also played FIFA whenever a new game comes out but to my conclusion:

FIFA:

Presentation: 7/10
Graphics: 8/10
Gameplay: 3/10
Ball Physics: 5/10
Players movement: 5/10

PES:

Presentation: 5/10
Graphics: 6/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Ball Physics: 8/10
Players movement: 7/10

I think PES should also make some changes in menu and player selection screens because it is almost the same in every game since I am playing i.e. PES 09

I would have given fifa's gameplay a higher score. About graphics, I don't know what people are seeing in FIFA. They're both good. Fifa has awesome looking stadiums while PES has awesome life like players. From a distance PES looks better also. I saw side by side comparisons, both game were played from a far camera angle on an HDTV @720p.

I agree the presentation of PES is shocking, it is reminiscent of the N64 version still. ALl very Japanesse. Take a look at Tiger WOods, the presentation is awesome, what next Gen games should look like.

personally i reckon the graphics/player appearence is better on PES...when comparing licensed teams on PES with licensed teams on FIFA. if PES was fully licensed, i believe it would look so much more accurate than FIFA. all the players look obese and cartoony on FIFA...or is it just me?!?

The faces look incredible in FIFA. But the body movement suck sometimes. And to be honest i like the ones in PES better. For me the body movement is much more important. I hope KONAMI will work on that.

I still love the movement in ISS64.


And if you are honest, the details only matter in replya's and close up view. From far away you can hardly see it.

i think that on graphics fifa will be slightly better because of lighting and other aspects.... but like us all say gameplay is what matters....i would say that fifa has been coming close but pes is still leading the way.

First of all let me clear that I have played FIFA 08 on XBOB 360 & PES 2008 on PS2.

By saying that graphics in FIFA are better I mean FIFA is very cosmetic. Player Kits, faces during match replacements looks very good and that's very much all. It is good for kids.

When it comes to gameplay FIFA is not even close to PES 08 which is the lowest game in PES series I have played so far. I don't play master league or P1 vs com but mostly (90%) I play human vs human with my cousins and we gave try to both the games with alot of interest but in our opinion FIFA's gameplay is nothing when compared to PES especialy in human vs human matches. In PES you have a special feeling of somehow controling the gameplay of your team but in FIFA no such feelings.

they use a different engine for the graphics and at first look yer id say fifa is way better..i love the stadium graphcis they do look very realistic, but i think on the full game player likeness will suffer, i guess we can only judge when there out eh!

I agree but...

According to Konami: ‘The new game has undergone a stunning graphical update to ensure its players look and move even more like their real-life counterparts.

So by the time it comes out, pes 09 should look better :)
