FIFA Unrealistic??

Whilst reading the paper i came across a FIFA 2004 review and thought i might have a little read and founf this little paragraph:

"However, this feature [the off the ball control] is not intuitive enough to use effectively without a great deal of practice. It's worth mastering, though as scoring a goal in FIFA 2004 is quite difficult without it. Purists who demand a game where the on-pitch actions flows like a real soccer match would be best advised to consider Pro Evolution Soccer 3 first"

Hmm.... i was going to get FIFA 2004 on the Poota coz i thought it would be a nice change after reading this i dont know if i will anymore... what do u guys make of this???

Well i read a magazine review and it also said that the 'Off-the-ball' thing was crap. I never really thought it would work well in all honesty and it seems it doesn't.
If i were you though, i'd rent it and try it out yourself

I have Fifa and the off the ball thing is crap, u never really have the space to try it, but goals can easily be scored without it, the long shots are quite easy to score, but if u master the through ball, then u will be able to score no probs,

i would advise to buy it.

If you're getting it on the computer than just download the demo.

But if you've played PES3 you won't like FIFA that's for sure. I've been buying FIFA yearly since '95. Then I got the demo of PES3 and thought it was good. But now that I'm playing the full version in different atmospheres and against different teams it is absolutley brilliant. Really hope Konami release a fix of the slow-motion though.

My advice to you is NOT to buy FIFA 2004 whether it was for PS2 or for PC. I myself thought that EA improved and actually was listening to Giggsy11 but Giggsy11 is only like 17 or 18 years old.

If he liked fifa 2003 then he will definatly like fifa 2004, fifa 2003 was crap in terms of gameplay but 2004 is better, so if u liked 2003 then definatly get 2004, its better and i own both.

and age has nothing to do with it, i know my computer games, thats all i do, play games every minute of the day and night and i spend all my money a week on games.

it don't matter how much pes3 is better than fifa, fifa is still getting better every year.

I also saw in a magazine in Portugal that fifa only and better this Aspects:

Online gaming;
Off the Ball, something;
And licensed players;

PES3

More realistic football;
MasterLeague, in 4 divisions;
Difficult to make goals;

I'm not telling you, Giggsy11, that you are wrong(I also have Fifa2003), but i love PES3.
In a thread "Improvements for PES4", is a thread that i and MattPhilips(sorry if i'm worng about the nick), have been discussing, for what we want to improve on PES4...i think you should go and see....And we need your help for that......Giggsy11 , zygalski, larsson. I think we have a shoot....send to konami want we think we would like to improve PES4....

I'm not trying to create a new discussion PES3 vs Fifa2004....I just think Pes3 is better in anyways...Pes4 will have online gaming, just wait........

Pes3 is miles better than fifa but i still like fifa, just because i am a pes fan don't automaticaly mean i haved to hate fifa, i have my own opinions

I don't agree, the shooting was crap on 2003 (u couldn't aim for the corners of the net or it would go wide) and u couldn't score direct from a corner and the crossing was crap.

Because PES3 gives me the real thing....
Yesterday i was playing Real agaisnt Arsenal...
on PES3....And later i played Fifa2004 with a friend at is place......I was disapoited, because fifa is more basic, not so many feints, scoring goals were easier(shot almost from anywhere and scored...maybe i'm so good )......
On PES3 i was think that i control the real players......don't you???

In terms of the feel of the gameplay pes3 wins, but fifa is way better to look at (my pes3 isn't patched) the animations are better (in places) on pes3, but do u not find that when players shoot on pes3 it dosen't feel as good as on pes2?

On pes2 it felt amazing when u let rip with a scholes long-range drive but now it feels slow and lifeless.

FIFA 2004 lasted about a week before I sold it. It truly is the worst football game I have played.
