I think Fifa 2004 is still playable though it may not tbe the best football game. I think if you have played ISS3 and PES/WE, you will surely be disappointed with Fifa. I too have high expectation on Fifa2004. In fact, I bought both the PS2 and PC version, the latter because I can play it anywhere, the office, friend's place whereever. After playing the game for about a month, I decided to spent my time fruitfully elsewhere such as perfecting my moves in PES3 instead of wasting my precious time on fifa 2004.Had I not been introduced to WE/PES, I would surely have enjoyed Fifa2004 especially with their Premier League and all the 3 English Divisions. It is just too good to be true. At this moment, I agree that Fifa 2004 is no where near PES. In fact the gap has withen somewhat. It is virtually impossible to demonstrate some kind of dribbling skill in Fifa 2004. Even with the special moves, the players gallop instead of performing a dribble and rely more on speed to outpace a defender.Unlike PES3, it is impossible to outwit a defender other than through pace. Also, by having some kind of prefixed instructions eg in corners (there are four of them) makes the game highly unrealistic. In real life, the corner kicker may just bungled the shot before it reaches the goal mounth. Now with the four prefixed instruction, every shot looks so perfect.
