I have a problem, i create loads of chances in a game, but dont take any of them, my bro creates a couple and scores.

Is there an easy way to score one on ones, just outside the box, headers, tight angles, inside the box etc?
If any one has any method from any sort of chance /half chance, would they share it with me please?

the best thing about this game is the fact that nothing is a certainty, there is no definate way to score every single time

but if you need methods that will most likely result in a goal, but still require actual skill :p

fake shot :square: then :x: real fast

:L1: then :square: when keeper is off his line

i dunno if you know about them already or not, but these are two i use most often

yeah, i could score 9 times out of ten with thhe lob on PES2 but i always put it over on this game or into the the keepers arms.
The fake shot i av also tried but cant get it to work, perhaps i dont press x fast enough, thanx anyway, anymore?

Don't shoot whilst sprinting - it decreases your shot accuracy massively. Don't hold down [] all the way, half power at the most when inside the box. Try shooting from angles instead of straight on from the keeper. See if these help

uhhm me again

to do the fake shot dont press square then x, its gotta be faster then that, so make it like a rolling motion with your right thumb

one movement over square first then straight onto x, you'll see -it'll work :)

oh also -d'oh i forgot- move the r3 analogue stick down the up to do a small chip over the keeper, who'll usually dive under it

looks classy aswell as working

cheers, i can do the fake shot now. when i do the jay-jay flick (which reminds me we would have beaten bolton 4-1 tomoz in the return leg at villa park, but now JPAngel's out injured i dunno, doesnt seem worth going anymore with lazy fat-arse vassell) any way where was i? oh yeah, the jj flick wont work wen i try 2 do it over the keeps, maybe i do it too early, but he just saves it. Thanks. Also, wen i cross it from a corner or in play, i head it over or wide, is there a way of getting it on target more often, perhaps press a certain direction?

well its a pretty stupid question, but youre using :square: to header right? :p

also obviously the heading stats affect it, try using a team which has a better header of the ball in it

glad to hear the fake shot works now -
try the flick up from about a metre or less away, the keeper should go down on you as you come towards him and you just put it over his head
(note the immaturity there, very funny)

sometimes sprinting full speed then shooting helps when ure just outside the box and u want to blast it through a crowd.

you get more power but as tdub said quite rightly u lose lots of accuracy. try different things and see how you go :)

I find tapping the shoot button (which happens to be square) results in good drilled shots along the ground, or close to it. Aim it either side of the 'keeper and there's a fair chance he won't get it. It's arguable whether it's a good finish or a 'keeper mistake most of the time, but a goal's a goal!

[] + R1 = fake kick into soft lob
L1 + [] = chipped lob

So what you wanna do when ur 1 on 1 and can see that the keeper is out - press [] to fill up to bar almost all the way, and if you're outside the box than all the way- and than press R1.
Also check out the thread about shooting with the weak foot and Mutu's vid. a great easy way to score as the keeper tends to close down on the angle of your strong foot.
