there will be some licenses for certain. we never expected national kits. ash do something about your sig... thats way over the top. i only want to see 3 things at most.

looks class, inclusion of ref is a major bonus, addind to more and more of the realism... licensing of kits, stadiums, etc wont to be bad with the option of patching the game!

To be honest I think the in-game screens are nothing short of complete bollocks! That new scoreboard thingy up in the right hand corner looks really bad and the grass on the pitch looks like something I could have programmed on my Commodore 64. The replay shot shows promise, but the colours are pale and uninteresting. The England player in the background (I think it's Owen) looks as though he's just bricked himself as well!

I hope this improves a lot before release.

seeing as its just a preview of the the game, it would be harsh to judge we8 by those screen, but it is looking good

Yeah, I prefer them then the WE7/PES3 scoreboards.
I would rather they have the team names on the scoreboard instead of flags though, FOr example - MAn Utd 1-1 Liverpool = Man 1-1 Liv

A quick translation of the Press Release by Konami made earlier today reveals nothing much new. Primarily the article tells us that once again Zico, the Japanese coach, will be the leading PR figure... and will no doubt feature on the cover of Winning Eleven 8.

One big point to mention is that Winning Eleven 8 will be on DVD-Rom. This is big news for anyone involved in the patching scene. The Press Release also states that almost all clubteams will have their real names in the game, in addition to almost all player names being real. New stadiums will be added to the game too, but no details are mentioned at this time.

We will try to post a full translation soon. Check back to this news article for updates.

Can you honestly appreciate those screenshots? You cannot honestly say that it looks like an improvement on WE7/PES3 can you? I will probably (hopefully) be proved wrong but until I am I stick with my view that the game looks like a step backwards if anything. I might be biased as I play fully patched PES3 with all the right kits/adboards etc. :p

Mumpleaser is correct. There is little evidence of improvement. Only a Video or a montage of screenshots say bout 100-200 will justify the games appeal.
