Yeah, but the graphics should (NEED!) improve as well, otherwise lesser games will catch up (FIFA). We all like a bit of eye candy don't we? I fully agree that gameplay is what matters but it's gotta look good as well.
I agree that the new score board in the corner of the screen is too big and obtrusive!
What will be interesting to see, is if they're gonna put the agregate scores in there when playing second leg cup games!?
That always annoyed me that you'd have to remebre the previous scores or rely on some dodgy commentry to tell you if you're up on goal dif etc...
There's no way you can tell from screens that size, if it's much better or not. It will be though, you just know it!!

otherwise, i think it looks a lot sharper and i love the referee on screen

I just wanted to try out my posting abilities. Anyhow, i dont think i could add anything constructive concerning just 2 screens. I hope they release some vids soon. I think that the physics and animations were both irregular and unbalanced in the last couple of games, PES3, WE6:FE, WE7 and WE7:I. As i said, waiting inquisitively for some vids, hopefully to notice some improvements to this aspect of the game.
Jesus I dont like the look of that scoreboard. Its like my first attempt at colouring in books. I think mumpleaser has got a point. The shots are certainly not positive. I smell a new man utd kit! Konami better stop pissin about and improve. If they intended to release this shots to impress they have failed. Lets wait and see...

Konami has said they wont improve the graphics drastically like we6fe >>>we7. So I am not suprised with these screens. It still looks very good. And Rauls movement is great!
Hope more will be released soon aswell as screens as information.

I think the raul screen shot is a bloody huge improvement on graphics!!Looks like the fcuking intro screen!

good first shots, the thing that got me was how the radar was in the way a bit.

Also, notice how the keeper on the radar is way off his line, is this new or did the keepers come that far out in we7/pes3?

Well, they deffinantely didnt in pes2. I remember on every replay the keeper would always stay on his line. Argh......... good times
