Fix Mode Addition Ideas

I`m sure I`m not the only one who has played using "Fix" mode, taking control of just 1 player and playing matches as just them.

Why don`t Konami expand upon this idea to take it even further out in front as the best footy game ever?

My idea:

Why don`t they let you create a custom player, and start with a base level of skill points to distribute to your player.
You can pick his age or start at the default 16yrs old (defines career length)

Now you start at a low club and maybe have to impress in training before you get your first sub appearance etc.
Maybe there would even be interim targets you have to hit in training to qualify....as well as gaining skill points for the training areas you are doing (maybe they are preset for certain days of the week?)

When you eventually break into the team you would (obviously) try your hardest and you`d be given additional points depending on your performances in the game (passing, shooting, heading etc) as well as the points you gain in training.

Clubs could come in and bid for you, you`d get injuries, suspensions etc so woul dhave to watch your tackling to avoid a repeat of Roy Keane and the Champions League Final :)

Ultimately the goal would be to get to a big club and ply your trade along with the superstars, although by the time your a star I guess Ronaldinho, Beckham et al would be at returement age...which could be a problem...but anyway....

I think this would be a great addition to PES and would add so much to the Fix mode of playing, it would be like another full game inside PES!

This along with my requests for the resurection of the Scenario Mode would be my PES wishlist (along with better throw ins - why can`t you control the runners!)

What do you all think?

I think its an awesome idea, i would love it!

All I need is one of the PES techies to help me get to the data I need and I`ll be well on the way to getting this released.
It seems that it all goes quiet and the tumbleweed starts rolling through whenever I mention it tho :(

red: I played for Castleton Gabriels and a few games with Salford City in the NW Counties, as well as Leigh RMI.
I have a dodgy back too though, got told it was my posture from running, so now I just play the usual Saturday / Sunday League ata not so high standard, but still love it.

Fab, as I wrote in the "Player Cam. is it the future?" thread, well sort of! You could have online ratings based on your online stats. for e.g. "Teamwork" could be based on how greedy you are, or are not. this figure would change after each game of course, but as they say "you are only as good as your last game". But with something like this you would be able to tell straight away what type of player they are.

Time for the math!

P = Possesion
A = Attempted passes
S = Shots

Teamwork = A/P * 100

eg 15 / 22 * 100 = 68 (There is a 68% chance this guy would pass it)

Shooting = S/P * 100

eg 7 / 22 * 100 = 32 ( The is a 32% chance this guy will shoot)

Obviously there would be some sort of curve to base this on, as you would expect strikers to have a higher shoot percentage and defenders to have a lower teamwork percentage due to clearences etc. however showing the dribbling meters would solve this, somebody with a high number of meters and a low Teamwork rate is basically a greedy barsteward.

Get my drift?

Rikman, I think I once played against Leigh for Armthorpe, we got beat 1-0, pre season game if I remember rightly!

Yeah totally, I have a lot of GREAT ideas (IMO :p) but the whole thing will be a no-go if I can`t get at the end of match data that PES creates/amends.

Also, bear in mind I can only use the stats that PES actually creates.
This is actually quite in depth if you flick through the options, you can see all the shots in the game, who passed to who, cross etc.

Its just finding where this is stored and extracting it into my add-on engine to be used in the management side so the data is accurate on both sides.

C`mon...free coconut to anyone who can help :p

Did I miss something here? I was not aware that you was creating anything to be used, I thought you was just suggesting things that could be done by Kanomi.

These stats are all shown in the ratings when you press on the individual, but as it is currently I do not think that that data, other than the actual rating, and maybe high level match data that is shown in the match analysis, is stored anywhere. I have an x-port and could extract data from an option card, maybe there is something there.

I do not have my PS2 at the mo and will not get it back until maybe tomorrow though.

You can keep the coconut, but if there is anything I can do I will gladly help!

But if this is not somthing implemented by Kanomi I do not believe it would help (distinguishing the good, the bad, and the down right greedy, online)

red: You must have not read the first bits I posted :)

Basically I am trying to create a management game which would run on the PC. You`d do all the usual managy type stuff, and when it comes to matchday, you would actually "PLAY" the game using PES5, with the players you picked, tactics you picked etc.

Then all the stuff that happens in the match (goals, cards, offsides etc) would be transferred back into the management game for league tables, top scorers etc.

The problem is, I need to somehow get access to the data provided at the the end of the game, the more the better.

Konami are making a pro evo management game are they not? Are they not planning on making the two games compatible?

Yeah chuffbum, I expect they are, which will be great.
What I also expect, and what will be utter shite if so, will be that you`ll be buying players with PES points, using the shat "Negotiation" system.

I`m not doing this for any other reason than I want to have a shit hot management sim using PES5 as the engine. I may also be able to use it for a Uni project at some point.

As well as serving those 2 purposes, i want to enhance the Single Player Master league aspect for myself and everyone else, and to improve my coding skills.

I just need help with the PES5 encryption on the data.

Sorry if i'm getting this wrong, but you want Konami to give you access to their code so you can make a management sim of your own?

Surely that would never happen, even if they were not producing their own version.

chuff: No mate.

What I need is to be able to "hack" (for want of a better word) into the info that PES stores when you play. All the info at the end of match screen (and half time): Shots on target, goals, possesion, yellow cards etc.

If I can get to this info (it must be stored somewhere) then I can create an add-on which allows you to play a management game on the PC, and when you play your match, PES is fired up and you play the game with the tactics, players, strategys etc that you have defined in the management side of the game.

Inuuries, bookings, sendings off, goals, assists etc would all then be transferred back out into the management add-on, and you would play as usual, until the next match day.

Think Champ Manager, but you get to play your matches in the PES5 engine.

The management side is NOTHING to do with Konami, it will be coded by me, and I am not asking Konami to give me access to anything - all the data I need is there, I just need to (a) Find it, and (b) access it in a usuable form.

Think of it as an add-on, much like Kit-Server for PES4.

I stand corrected!!!

It does sound like a very good idea. I apologise for doubting you, I just didn't quite understand.

hehe, no problem mate - I`m just gutted I have no knowledge of hex editing (other than basic editing) or RAM scanning for values etc.

RAM would be a nightmare actually, as it would be a different memory address every time, so virtually impossible to reliably trace every time.

This is why I need a PES hacking expert - they`ll know far more than me about the data formats, parsing and encryptions than I do.

Yeah I missed #5, I must of responded before reading the rest of the thread trying to claim that it was my idea, when it is nothing like what I was thinking of. So my apologies mate I have been running on a tangent here, but now it is all clear.

One hell of an idea though, combining two of the best footy games ever made, CM & PES, I would definitely buy it.....along with one of those adaptor boxes for the PS control pad. There is an hint of Player Manger there, but that was a quality game for me, so crack on kid!

As I said, hacking, of any sort is really not my area but I would help where I could.

Pure genius Rikman, the simple ones are the best!

haha, thanks for the positive feedback mate, much appreciated :)

As for CM/PES, well I don`t think it will be *quite* as in depth as CM, as PES doesn`t have enough data to play with - I can only work with what PES spits out.
Also, just in case someone misunderstands, I am NOT joining PES and CM, I am writing my OWN management engine addon which will use PES5 for the matches (you can play, watch, fix, whatever) and all the stuff you setup in the management engine (positions, tactics, subs etc) will be transferred over to PES5 for you to play with.

CM or FM are in no way involved! :)

I can add other non-PES stuff though, like transfers, loans, contracts, sponsorships, bickering...the list is endless.... and keep them on the management side - PES will solely be for playing, and receiveing / handing stats back to the management engine, which will do most of the processing.

The problem at the moment is that nobody seems willing (or able) to help....I`m off work till next week now, so maybe I`ll do some digging around and see what i can come up with.
