'Fix' Mode Official Thread

I would like to start a thread for all those players out there addicted to 'fix' mode. This is where you play as a single player, in many cases on the player cam which can be unlocked in the shop. This thread will be for all players who have gone beyond trying this out for a laugh but gone to the next level. Have you like me created a player and transfered him to your fav club, then proceeded with a virtual career in master league mode! (if you are answering no, then you are missing out! annoying at first this can be the most satisfying way to play the game and the most addictive!)

This thread is designed to air ideas about how to improve yur game in fix mode. Do youplay as a striker and have tips on positioning or calling for ball or maybe some tricks to improve finishing. Are you a defender who can share your tackling expertise? either way post your tips here!! Also any suggestions to konami about improving this mode for pro evo 6 would be welcome!!

As the founder of the thread i feel it only right to post a few suggestions to get you started!!

1. When creating a player if your not being generous with all stats at least make stamina 99 so as to ensure you get through your 90 mins without injury!!

2. Once you have choosen your league (i.e premier league) go to edit mode and set all team formations in this league to 'all attack' on the quick setting formation section. This will stop the computer from playing negative and boring football. You can also alter the individual settings to make them more attacking and less defensive but this can take a long time!! Save the settings and start master league, then save this master league. Now go back to edit and restore settings, this should not alter settings in league.

3. As a striker I can offer 4 key tips. The first is to identify the defender in your corresponding position and always know where he is, hang around by him if you can, and watch the line he keeps with his other centre half. Staying with him can ensure you stay level and onside, so you can break the line and score. The second tip is to use the width of the pitch to your advantage using the radar. Look in particular for wing backs pushing forward and hang about where they should be but making sure you are level with centre halves (henry uses this tactic superbly in real life!) The third tip is 2 take your time finishing, and not use to much power. You need to find your trade mark finish, wether this be across the keeper, a lob or whatever and perfect this. The best tip for all strikers is on corners to stand at the side of the 6 yard box nearest the corner taker in front of nearest defender. If you have time you can walk backwards pushing this defender out of the way and then move back into the space (9 times out of ten not being followed). The taker will play the ball to this area 9 times out of ten and if you time the header and direct the ball correctly you will score maybe 10 plus in a season!! valuable source of goals!!

Yeah I started that one 2 but were not many replies with tips, just people saying they had a go, or how to get fix on! wanted to start a thread for those play 'fix' a lot and have or need hints and tips!

yea i just started playin this mode coz of you, its pretty awesome! I also tried being the goalie but it took to long for the ball to come down my end, and is it just me or is it really weird to control your player when he has the ball...also i created a player, but i dunno how to get him into the club of my choice (i havnt been playin long) so any help would be appreciated. Apart from that i love this settings specially when you call for the ball, they lob it up to you, and u score in the corner!

After I done that I am directed to the player display, and on that menu whatevere the player i choose, it doesn't accept and emites a denial sound.

Help me out guys

Make sure you create your player in the edited player section as opposed to the edited international player section. Transfer him to the club you want and edit the teams formations in that league (as in first thread) and save option file, then start your master league. After this you can change the settings back if you want and they should stay the same on your league!

i gave it a bash last night, it was very, very good i've gotta say, it's like a new dimension to Pro Evo.

On player cam, watching your created player in your favourite teams kit, spanking one home from 30 yards. My brother was infinitely impressed with it. Thanks Cooky. Great find.

When you have choosen fix and pressed square you will come to the formation screen. What you need to do here is select the player who has already got the fix applied, this may be down on the subs bench which may be why you are stuglling. Once you have selected him with x move it to the player of your choice in the same way you would apply a substitution. Now exit the mode and select player cam and your free to play!!

There are numerous ways to sort this though, and some are in my first post. If you have the time to fiddle about with it enough you can get the computer playing well! Give some of them a try?

I love this mode! Im usually the person who replied to your threads saying I use it all the time!

I find these days, this is the only was i will play this game, unless im playing against a mate, when in that case id get spanked and I choose to play the full team.

You dont need full stamina to last a game. Just dont run around like a loon for 45 mins! try gettin the ball to feet. knocking it off and moving into space.

I have two games which I would consider to be my best. One with a created me, playing in the 'hole' behind the front two and anothere were i was a random player i created aged 16 with good potential. I played out right and loved it! gettin in behind the defence was amazing! a nicely placed cross to score felt just as good as scoring!

Same way as it works on the PS2... Go to player settings and press the left trigger till it says fix.

I hadn't played with fix mode for awhile and forgot you had to drag that "fix" into the player you wanted to controll

I had experimented with this mode in PES 4 but now, the ps doesn't slow down (at least as it used to) in PES 5.
Still it's prety hard to control the player, especially when you're turned back to the goal line and need to face it.... It's almost impossible because the camera follows your move making your turn very dificult to steer.

Oh wow! Thanks for introducing me to this idea!! What an amazing experience. Will definately be trying this again.

My first ever 'fix' was as Ronaldinho for Barca against Sevilla. I found it hard to get to grips with at first. It's easy to get disorientated when in the thick of it as the camera does swing about quite wildly.

Had a couple of free kicks that gave the keeper no worries and then in first half injury time I somehow managed to be level with their defence as Eto'o fed me thru on goal. I had a nagging feeling a defender would catch up to me (like real life) but within a few touches I was into the box and managed to bend a beautiful side footed shot into the far top corner. I was stunned! I went mad! I couldn't believe it.

Then in the second half I managed to get injured and carried off 3 times! The third time was in the 87th minute and was serious enough to have to substitue myself. That was an odd experience.

The second on those injuries came when I recieved the ball in the box, ran out of room, ran back away from goal, did a Zidane 360 spin skipped past a player and then got tripped over. I promise you that this is not exaggerated! I was again stunned at how close to reality this could well be. Sadly, as I was injured, I had to watch Giuly take the pen and score. I even missed it first time around as I was off the field.

Final score was 2-1. My oh my. I doubt I'll have such an action packed 'fix' again, but I'll always have this memory. Thank you for giving PES new life!! =D

Another way to play this, which is the way i do it.

is to set the computer as the manager!

so it picks the team and makes the subs, etc!

makes it much more fun!

How do you do this? Someone mentioned doing this in a previous thread but Ive never figured it out!!! help me lol
