Flip top help...

Hey i didnt know where else to put this an i have searched through a few places but no1 else seems to have this problem.

but I bought a ps2 flip top lid yesturday in hope to play WE9 today. I have fitted the flip top to my PS2 following instructions but once i connect the power cable to my PS2 nothing is happening, the restart button doesnt not light up red...

any help would be great thanks EVOFAN

sounds broken to me... did the silver wire get scratched or torn?

mine just slipped on and is working fine no probs at all

I can't see your PS2 but I am guessing you have broke it.
I have my own Flip-Top and you have to be extremely careful with the silver wire and if that comes off then your fucked. So just make sure that you haven't damaged that part and you should be alright, just open your PS2 back up and check everything but I presume its the Silver Foil Wire.

first of all..whats a flip top ?
second of all..maybe you just forgot to switch your ps2 on at the back..if thats the case im gonna have a preeetty darn good laugh

Well I did that unfortunately with my PS2, the Silver Foil Wire came out, I had no chance of it working. So I just got a good quality second hand one off Ebay, they aren't really too expensive. Mine off Ebay cost me about £55-60.

ye just need tae try n get the cable back into the place it came out, think its under the cd drive, mines cames out when i was changing mines aswell but works perfect now ;

that can't be right if the silver foil comes off the ps2 it is broke and will never work again you can't just put it back on.

it didnt snap it came loose from where it connected to... the bit connecting the reset/open button then to the bit under the cd drive
