Upon further playing of this game.


I tried getting into my us WE7 to get ready for my WE8 arrival,but WE7 was just too boring and uneventful for me already.

that said. i fired up the ol swap magic/cd loader and patched fk.

:) Well Well Well i can't praise this game enough. if you play this game calmy and strategically you'll really have some fun. I just let the computer play itself and the match was brilliant. it seems they know how to pull of the tricks. the runs running and animations of the players looks so good at times. i don't know i'mm abe hypin mad if WE8 isn't something for me to wet my pants over the way made me wet my undershorts(you see i wasn't expecting much and what i got was pure satisfaction with it. in the case of WE8 it's been HYPED to no end so......?)

yeah EVEN Fifa looks good this year. have you seen my thread about that 1 hr vid preview lazandreas? it's looking like grapes. Anyway, people are sleeping on this game sooo bad that's it's not funny. if this game doesn't sell well in japan come next june we won't see another one and that worries me becasue this game shows so much promise.

i literally think ALL they have to do is get new graphics for player models smooth out some visuals keep the suberb lighting fix the AI and fix the look of how the tricks look when performed and you know what? it''ll have a chance to say it belongs. because right now I feel it belongs in evryones PS2. :)

Hmm this is what you do. go to alta vista babel fish. write in this url www.winningeleven.com and chose spanish to english translation. then once your at that site got to furom. Then go to it's football kingdom forum then you'll see (in English mid you because of the babel your browsing with)fernado's post of siome of the moves and tricks.

P.S watch how the game is played by the computer ai. set up a match with the computer competing against each other at the hard difficulty setting and tyou'll see a proper and "more life-like" use of the controls. i've found out that if you play strategically it can be a more realistic game. I think ALOT of the people that played it just went into and just went right into it just to see how it is and NOT actually take some time with it. i'll be playing it back and forth with WE8. :)

crazy crazy crazy. Football kingdom STILL has better lighting and atmosphere then the WE series of games. ESp. WE8. I love WE8. i feel that kicking from far is SO controlled and that we can continue to "place " the ball wherever we want it. But Football Kingdom holds a special place in my PS2. i only hate the fact that it takes me loading up Swap magic cd 3.0 plus CDloader to get it working. WE8 is a breeze to get goin :(

Anyone know how much it's sold in Japan? The last numbers i saw were something like 25,000? those are hard numbers to convince namco of a sequel. but if they are commited into breaking into the market they have a great platform to follow with their first.

I played some FK and I find it absolutely no match for WE8 or even WE7. It has some nice things but it can't beat WE8 by far for me. FK is a better game than Fifa and the others and comes in on a nice and flashy second place.

Hmmm Lan. i have to say that Fk isn't better. I'd love for it to be true,but after playing ALOT of WE8 and then going back to fk i just have to say it's not. FK's a great game maybe one that can be improved upon. Namco has the right idea the right look and ALMOST the right feel. But just the fact that i have to freakin use CDloader along wth the swap magic cd boot and that it NEVER works swapping the majority of the time. Actually getting the game to "PLAY" in my PS2 is a big ass bother.WE8 loads up ALL the time with just one swap. That said WE8 once properly patched or PES4 comes out will easily eat up FK. I like FK was in love with it but just can't stop seeing what a improvement WE8 is from my US vers of WE7. The slowdown is there and it can RUIN a game or two but all in all it's awesome. Fifa 2005's coming out and from what i've seen and heard it might be better than FK this year, but don't call me on it. I'm just happy that all these soccer/football game are close enough together for us to enjoy.

I feel this game will be forgotten. I can't let it be. it cost me two weeks of worry to get it to work with cdLoader finally. the sun though you can't beat the sun in Brazil.

Yeah playing some more now. I love WE8 and am waiting on Fifa 2005(hey another football game is ok) but I really am starting to like FK again.

yeah I will be definetly getting the sequel, despite not playing the current one. Let's just say I like to try new things other than Fifa ;) .

A sequel? Jeez i don't know? I can hope and the 20,000 other people that bought can hope as well. When WE sells like it did this past year I wonder how ANY other soccer game can be worth making for any other company than Konami? Namco did a great job considering this game plays on a cd. i can only imagine what it'd be like with more realistic player models and maybe better licensing. I'd very amped for any sequel namco gives us.
