The competition would be a bit of a laugh, but I can guarantee that somebody will cheat.

Problem is most of the cheats are completely undetectable no many how many screenshots you take.

That's the point I was making yesterday. The memory one can't be detected if you know when to change it back and what you're doing blah blah. Yes, its sad to do it, but SOMEONE will.

Can we do this at the weekend? Its the only time I'm really free.

Weekends are no good for me.

I'm off work until this Friday, then after that I'll have no free time until about the 23rd of Jan.

I think it'd be a real test to play in the Slovenian league or something....where you don't even know the players.

Agreed entirely. I wanted a more obscure league from the start, and that's why I voted for Gretna.

I voted for Gretna even though I have no plans to take part.

The whole thing is more exciting if the players interested in joining are complete unknowns - as are your own squad. Some people might think they need to make signings, others might think they have enough quality and not even look for anyone. You just never know.

I remember my good old days at Zenit St Petersburg in CM4....I had an 18-year-old right-winger I refused to use until midway through my first season and not only did he become the best player I had apart from star striker Kerzhakov, he kept setting up all the goals. The best winger I ever had. Even knocked Milan out of the European Cup on my way to winning it  and all this after looking for a star winger but being unable to afford one.

That is what I suggested, and then we pick teams from the bottom half to manage.

Depending on what league you pick, every team might look like a "bottom half" team

Amongst my biggest failures in this series was my attempt at managing the worst side in India. I made sure they were the worst by studying player stats etc. and was happy to find the highest ability of any of my players was about 50 (out of your standard 200)

Didn't win a game, resigned before I got sacked and then saw them start to win the odd match. I got thumped by the top side (whoever the hell they were) during my reign of failure.

Indian teams suck.

I agree about foriegn leagues but Gretna is easy. Kenny Deuchar has 19 finishing and 18 heading. He scores loads.

I'm Inter Milan. After a slow start and switching my formation from 3-4-3 to 4-4-2, we've been flying, exciting going forward and solid at the back. The 3-4-3 formation wasn't suited to Adriano at all, dropped him. Brought him back for my 4-4-2 formation...and wow! 8 goals in 7 games.
