Anbody remember Patrick M'boma on 05? Probably the best free signing ever. The guy was a legend, i had him and ashton up front for noriwch, he scored 27 goals! and was always diving to get pelenties. He was on the clubs favoured personal and when i got promoted i sold him and the fans and board hated me :)


I've just started a new game with Liverpool (;)) i've got a new patch so all the sigings are done. I've bought james morrison (next beckham), nathan dyer and james vaughn (him from everton) i'm taking contol of the reserves to make them superstars and have them ready for the cups. Just won my first 3 CL qualfiers scoring a mega 24 goals :w00t robbie fowler and cisse are brilliant together.

I got the Brazil job and im doing well, undefeated, besides having lost to Turkey in a friendlie I think im getting my team sorted and I think i have my players for the world cup but their defence is crap, so that will be a problem, but Ricardo Olivera is brilliant, scoring freely & keeping Ronaldo out of the team...

been a fan of the series for years now but i only just got 06 last saturday becuase of problems with my computer. The game is superb and since getting it ive lost contact with the outside world. Started with man utd and finished second in my first season and signed saloman kalou and carlos tevez who proved to be slight disapointments. Second season and i bought snjeider for 14m, muntari for 11m, kompany for 12m and davids and maxwell on free transfers. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good young strikers that are available as tevez seems to want to leave and with ruud and roooney out i need backup FAST!

An AWESOME striker would be Eddie Johnson. Cheap too. Fernando Llorente and Zalayeta too, a bit pricey though.

In 05 I used to sign Zalayeta for Milan as I was anti-Crespo and wouldn't give him a game. Decent striker.

this player was wonderful on 05 and easily one of the best strikers on the game and best youngsters, i signed him for 8m and he is terrible so i tried to offload him but hes still lingers around like a bad smell. I cant understand how hes got so shit.

He was the best striker ever bought him in january for spurs once, managed to outscore defore, keane, mido and hamoudi (sp) and he only played about 20-25 games, scored 36 goals i couldnt belive it only 3 million aswell! Now though he's awful, but he was obviously overrated on 05.

Although he did do certain things very well for us (the United games and first half of the final against Liverpool, for example) I never accepted him as a player who suited us, was needed or even held the club anywhere close to his heart. I never wanted him on loan, I certainly didn't want him permanently and I'm glad it didn't go through last summer despite the fact he did do some good things.

I dont think the German national team can be managed either. Every year 'Jens Musterman' wins GK of the year aswell, bit weird. Just didnt allow the right or something...

Yeah theres a file called 'fake.inc' and I think you have to delete it. Although mine didnt change so its probably a waste of time.

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\db\lnc\all
NOTE: Does not work with a save game.

Theres this brilliant keeper called Manquoba(sp) something. He plays for Ajax CT and can be bought for £200,000. He wont get a Work Permit for England though. I reccomend you check him out.

i bought Crespo in fm05 for 400k, has to be my best every buy. Managed to score in his first season 45 goals second 48 and his 3rd season 47 :D
