I've looked at Vanden Borre with a few clubs, but he doesn't look very good to me. Never signed him on FM06.

I recommend Nik Besagno for a cheap defender, about £100k and he is rather good.

Kompany is the obvious one and i think although i play him in DMF he can play DC. Get him when he is about 3 mil or he will soon go to about 10 mil easy.

Olivier Deschact(sp?). 23-year old Defender who can be accuired for a mere 350k. Plays for Anderlechet. I buy him for every club I can.

Olivier Deschascht, Vincent Kompany and Van den Borre, I always buy those damn good Belgians all from Anderlecht, and they stack up well together on my club, Ly-Ly-Lyon. As Cacapa is injured the whole season, I bought those three, and it works so well for me. Trying to get Alex now, and I'll be complete for another season.

Anyway, wanted to ask someone this. My brother who is playing Milan, bought Puyol (30 yrs. old, year 2008). Now the deal has been made, but amazingly, Puyol is not even in Milan, :ninja:. He searched for him, and it says Puyol in Milan, but looking at the squad, he isn't even existing! And no, he is not injured, or not in the Under-20's, Reserves etc. And it clearly says he has already transferred to Milan. Anyone had this before?

EDIT: My brother also managed to get hold of two excellent strikers in Nicola Anelka who is a goal scoring legend and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He got Zlatan by trading Cassano (Free Agent during 06 off-season) and Zalayeta plus 29M. Well worth it, what can I say. He also managed to get hold of Owen and Villa! I will try to post pics later of what an amazing job he has done.

Well I havnt...Ive heard of this. I think download the new patch and it fixes bugs. Also check that all the filters are done. Also go on tactics and it will show you all the players. If he is a sweeper then he wont show on the main screen but the tactics will show him.

Also bad news. Dudu Cearenase(The legenedary Brazillian DM) was too good to be true. There was 2 of him. One who played for CSKA Moscow and one on a free. Well the free one has gone :crymore:

Reminds me of something what happened to me. In my Norwich game, the one where I didn't cheat, it was outside of the window, but I went to sign Malaga winger for £1.5m, quite a lot for Norwich. Anyway, he joined, and the £1.5m was removed from my budget. But, whenever I checked his profile, it said he was joining Norwich on 1/1/1900 :mellow: So, he never arrived, I couldn't cancel the deal, and for the rest of the game, he was stuck in the Malaga reserves and couldn't go anywhere, as he'd already accepted a contract offer. What angered me though was that I never got my £1.5m back :realmad:

Start > All programs > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2006 > Editor. When you get there, just change whatever data you want.

Just started a Stoke game. Currently nailing Leeds 3-0 (Russell, Gallagher, Sigurdsson) which will leave me in 3rd on 38 points and Playmouth top on 42 and Burnley 2nd on 39. C'MON STOKE!

Could do with a right-midfielder to add to the side, as Chadwick's loan ends in January. I'm currently weighing up whether to bid for Kaue from Santa Cruz too.

I nearly got Pablo Vitti, Cesar Fawcett, Lebo Mokoena, Oberman and Gonzalez from Cali, but all moved elsewhere unfortunately.

Anybody got any ideas for training, because a few of my lads seem to be losing their stats a bit?

Be fair, Del Horno made as much of it as Messi did. They were as bad as each other. And there's plenty of threads to discuss this, and this ain't one of them.
