I am on the PSP version at the mo :) Sarted with Huddersfield Town in League 1, fuck all budget, cleared out ost of the players. Now in my 4th season and in the Premier League. At the beggining of the gasme i bought a young striker called Ore (with and upward accent on the e), in the first 3 seasons he scored 30 + goals and is noe worth 11.25m, if sumone could try and find him on the PC version (as i carnt be arsed) i suggest you buy him. I got him for 50k from Universitario, should turn into a real gem ;)

That Pompey one got shit after two months, so I shall be starting one with Real and starting a new era, I'll give myself 250 million (cheating I know, but it's only to play for a month or two) and I'll try and make a team of unbeatables.

Just started a game with Porto, as I thought it would be good as Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Porto are all equal teams and I think it would be a good game.

First 6 games in, including 2 friendlies. My first friendly was againest Roma at home which I won 1 - 0, thanks to a goal from my left back Cech. Then I played away againest Levante and drew 0 - 0.

Then into the season, first game of the leagues was home Sporting Lisbon, which I won easily 3 - 0, then my second game was a home one again againest Academica which I lost 2 - 1. My third game wa away againest P.Gerreria which I won 2 - 0.

Then I had my first CL group stage match home againest Ajax, which I lost 2 - 1 despite domainting the game.

I'm enjoying my Porto game and I'm looking forward to playing it some more.

Cech is a quality full back, I am sad that he didn't want to join my Palermo team. :crymore:

At the moment I am having a weird season.

I qualified gor the Champions League and qualified for the group. I was drawn with Arsenal, Werder Bremen and Malmo. Nailed on third place for me (I thought), but I got a point against Arsenal away and got a win and a draw against Werder. I wanted a decent UEFA Cup run not to go out in the Champions League second round. I was drawn against Barcelona...And I got through. And then the same thing happened against Man Utd, and I was in the Champions League Semi-Final. What a run :shocking:

League was dissapointing as I am currently 6th and with the fixtures as they are I will probably finish 7th. I also crashed out first round in the cup.

Finally had enough time to start playing FM again - after a somewhat unhealthy month's or so absence.

Started up a game as Middlesbrough, don't particularly know why - it's the first time I've taken over a top-flight team since Championship Manager 97/98. I'm actually finding it quite hard.

Started off well, and was sitting in 4th for about 10 games, and then it all started to go wrong. Southgate, Mendieta, Downing, Morrison and Rochemback all decided to get injured together, in the space of about a week. Viduka had to go off on international duty to play for Papua New Guinea or whoever it is he swans about for, and so I've been forced to actually put Massimo Maccarone on the bench. The direct result? 5 straight league defeats. In 3 of those games, teams have nicked a late winner - including Arsenal, who I pissed on but failed to score against.

I do have a knack of beating the big teams - a Kevin Vandenbergh brace at Old Trafford sunk United, and Sevilla were beaten 2-1 in the UEFA Cup group (which also includes Leverkusen - topped that group).

In the transfer market, I off-loaded Schwarzer and Parlour for a combined fee of £5 million, which paved the way for me to bring in Craig Gordon, Michal Gottwald, Ignas Dedura (possibly the worst performing player I've ever seen), Christian Rahn, Victor Moses and Kevin Vandenberg. Combined total? £3.6 million. The January transfer window will see Michael Carrick and Samuel Holmén join the squad to bolster up midfield, and that will pave the way for me to get rid of Doriva, Fabio Rochemback and, with any luck, Massimo Maccarone.

I might play Malcolm Christie up-front just for a laugh.

I still recommend everyone plays as lower league teams.

I might start a game with Sevilla when I get some time, focusing on my Porto game though

The computer has 'worked out' my tactic. It is now useless, so I will have to change. It has lasted me three seasons, and now is a complete dud. And yet it is working just as well as it used to for my Italy team, it being just one season old. :realmad:

Havn't tried it on here but my tactic in which I won the league with WBA in FM05 was a 5-4-1 sweeper. Could try it here.

Not sure he is Dutch and is a physio, but I presume he was a player as he is 36 and now unemployed in the 3rd season.

It's December now and I'm looking forward to the January window to offload some players and hopefully bring in a couple more. This is going to be a long month I can tell, with injuries building up and my lack of strength in depth is beginning to show.
I couldn’t have been more wrong as it turns out :D

Despite crashing out of Europe, I won four out of the five games that month. Most notably a 2-1 home win over Arsenal.

January was a good month too, bagging a further 3 wins including a 3-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge! Remained unbeaten from there until I came up against Villa, where my back-up keeper got injured just before giving me no time to fix up a replacement, so I was forced to call upon my 16 year old youth team keeper. This was just the start of things going wrong, as before the 90 minutes were up, I was forced upon using up all 3 substitutes due to the dirty fookers injuring four players in one game. Ended up in a 4-0 away defeat, adding to my already overly long injury list. Fortunately though none are out for too long, but long enough. I think I might have to end up persevering with my youth keeper for the next game, as neither my first or second choice keeper are likely to recover in time. There’s also no decent keepers available to draft in on an emergency loan, so it looks like I’m gonna have to stick with it. Currently lie 8th in the league.

I was offered the Liverpool job at the end of January, after Benitez had left to return to Valencia. I turned it down, of course. Looking forward to next season already now after securing Jonathan de Guzman on a free transfer from Feyenoord, who will arrive in the summer. Incredibly versatile and simply a damn great player.
