Football Manager 2007 Online Game Thread....

Ok rather than start a game have everyone bugger off and that be that I thought I would go through some possible ideas that will make this work.

Anyone interested? We could even get a full league going how cool would that be?

I'd love too be able to commit myself mate, but for the foreseeable future that will be doubtful as i've got quite a bit coming up, so for now count me out mate.

That is kind of the point of the thread.... could do a vote for what days are best picking the two best days and playing then during the week?

First off the game usually takes forever at the start of the season but after that it's sound.

With this in mind we could between us sort out a set amount of time for transfers.

Timer will be used inbetween matches so as people cant take the piss, if you don't get what you need doing then tough.

Teams will be totally random (no idea how Im going to work that one but I will think about it.)

Between us we will work out sensible times to play and if you are not able to attend then you will be put on manager Holiday and if you instruct your assistant manager then it wont matter as he will just do as you would have done anyway.

You can't poach everyones young players as we will be there all day poaching each others kids but you can poach all the talent you want from comp teams.

Ok any other ideas?

Depending on the day chosen, everything else appears sweet.

I'd be very interested in playing an internet game though, even if it is just one or two prolonged evening sessions every week.

This is more what I am after.

So it would start about 7:30 and maybe finish at 10?

So far Monday and Friday (I would open it on weekends and if enough people are on I will load it up and we can continue.)

No one will be present for all games so some will be down to the assistants.

As we get to the end of the season when it matters most I will try only to play when a lot of people are around.

See we are sort of getting somewhere now!

I've played with 3 people and its impossible to get times when everyone is free, especially when PES6 comes out. To have a league of 20 teams would take some sort of miracle to work in my opinion. The best FM online games usally only have between 3-5 people.

As I say we will play regardless if you are there or not. If you are there you get the advantage of being there.

What we need first is to arrange a time at the weekend when the players will be there to set their teams up for the first game and make any transfers.

Other than that there is not all that much difference if you leave your assistant to it.

I know what you are saying it will be tough but the least we can do is give it a go if it doesnt work so be it. Maybe 3 or 4 will stay on and we can just carry on the league and resign the others?

It's all trial and error.

I'm also in the U.S. which has a time difference.

My saturdays are completely full.

Friday and Sunday I'm free

I also have a lot of time from 2 to 4 UK time Mondays and Wednesdays.

We should do the Prem and just randomly pick teams, or stay away from the big 4 etc.
