Football Manager 2007 [PC]

Finished my 2nd season with Valencia. Only got both Supercups and Club World Championship. Lost La Liga with Barcelona, the CL in the Final with Inter (cheated by the Italians) and La Copa del Rey with Barca in the Quarter Finals. Not a bad season, but not th best for sure.

Klose was (and is) the best player in my squad. Check this:



He cant be the Pichichi because I cant use him in the last 4 matches for a injury and Eto´o was with 26 goals I think. But Klose was a god really, my team really need him on the pitch. Also he was the Top Assister.

The Transfer Window open and I bought:
Gaston Villarreal (18 years - River) - Free
Maximiliano Raffaele (18 years - Boca) - 250k
Robert Weller (17 years - Bayern Munich) - 1.1m
Vincent Enyeama (Maccabi Haifa) - 450k
Anthony Van den Borre (Werder Bremen) - 8M (Werder fuck me really)
Klaas Jan Huntelaar (Ajax) - 29m (I want him badly, because Sobis was a shit and I need another goalscorer as Klose. He got in 49 matches:
35 goals, 4 assits and 13 MOTM)
Nicklas Bendtner (20 years - On loan from Arsenal)

And I sold:
Fabian Estoyanoff (2.5m to Rangers)
Rafael Sobis (14m to Lyon. Wants to get more money but nobody wants him and Lyon only offer 14m)
And 7 players loaned out.

In some big transfers things like this happened:
Chelsea sign Fernando Torres from Atletico for 47.5m
Real Madrid sign Michael Essien from Chelsea for 45m
Barcelona sign Anderson from Porto for 38.5m :mellow:
And the most funny: Atletico Madrid sign Per Mertesacker from Werder Bremen for... 35m!!! hmy: :laugh: :laugh:

Now I started my 3rd season, with a nightmare start: Sevilla, Barcelona, Atletico and Chelsea in the CL (in my group are: Chelsea, Ajax and Celtic hmy.
Won over Sevilla 0-1 and won over Barca 1-2 (Bentder did fantastic, same as Klose).

Klose seems to decline in my game, given that picture you gave he probably still has 2 great seasons in him for you.

I started a game with Man U, only signed one player so far (klaas-jan huntelaar for £11.75m who is scoring loads of goals for me at the moment) but have found it very hard to sell players (O'Shea, Smith, Fletcher, David Jones) but luckily Celtic have taken O'Shea on loan for 6 months I thought I'd try asking my players to recommend players but after Ryan Giggs suggested I sign John Hartson, I thought it'd be best to leave the recommendations to my scouts :mellow:

John Hartson was doing a great job for me, but then he got injured. Then again...I am West Brom in the Championship and not Man Utd in the Premiership.

Some players made some good recommendations though, I signed Simone Gervasio who has proven for me to be a classy keeper, because of Okaka.

Having said that, sometimes players come up with the most ridiculous of recommendation that makes you want to fire them instantly.

Aye, broken leg.

I dont have money at the moment. Likewise, Bendtner and Huntelaar are doing good.

Just started as Pompey, will keep you updated. One thing though, I downloaded some logo packs, and the rest but can't get them to appear in my game. Is there something I need to do before they come up? I've put them in the same files that I did on 2006 and everything was dandy then.

You need to go into preferences, then choose the display option in the panel on the left.

Then towards the top right, you'll see a few boxes.. the first two should be ticked, the third won't be... untick the second, then tick the third.. and click confirm... the logos should now be loaded. And you can change those options you changed back to how they was.

I think also.. it works if you put everything downloaded into My Documents /SI /FM07/ db

My scouts now are recommending Fabregas and Xabi Alonso as potential signings on a weekly basis :huh:

I signed Kristoffer Haestad (fella who has gone to Wigan) for about £2m, mainly as a back up player, loaned in Gourcuff and Recoba for the rest of the season too, all in the jan transfer window of the first season, after Ronaldo got injured (and is out for 4 months ) and Saha is out for 2 months. Both Gourcuff and Recoba have done a decent job so far, but Recoba is now out for 3 weeks, so I'm stuck with a front line of Smith and Solskjaer with Aaron Burns as back up :huh:

The My Docs way is just far more easier.
