Without the internet I played quite a bit of FM to pass some of my spare time and opted to start a game with Espanyol. They have a good squad which has depth and I felt I could do pretty well with them. However I managed to exceed my expectations and guide them to an very good finish. Going into the end of the season and the last few remaining fixtures I was just hoping to scrap a Champions League place but I managed to keep on winning and move up the table.

Asamoah Gyan is a legend. Won three consecutive PFA Player of the Year awards for me at Norwich and rattled 90 Premiership goals in the four seasons I was there. After I left, he became the club's record goalscorer.

Ace. :cool: Any dudes got any recommendations for defence. Anywhere across the back line. Could do with a few personnel coming in, but I need to save some money for RM/RW too. My budget is £3.2m and I'm at the start of my third season (July '08). My wage budget stretches to about £4,800 for a key player.

I tried to get him last season, however he thought going to Osasuna was a better choice. ¬_¬

Right-back role does need urgent attention however as Angbwa is the only decent player capable of doing that role.

Michel Schmoller. I got him for £1.6m in 2008 on £1.2k a week (yes I still remember that) and he was class... all the top clubs wanted him after a couple of years.

Him and Sidnei are both class centre-backs. Because of the Brazilian rules you need to wait until they're 18 though, which can be annoying.
