Release date moved forward to today:

SEGA and Sports Interactive would like to announce that the official street date for Football Manager 2007 on PC / Mac has been brought forward to Wednesday, October 18th. As a result of certain retail outlets ignoring the official release date of October 20th, SEGA and Sports Interactive have acted to ensure that Football Manager 2007 is available to all of our loyal fans. We are in the process of communicating this new date to all of our retail partners

They only posted the message on their website at 2pm. Ordered mine from CD WOW so hopefully it'll be there tomorrow. Would be nice to get it before Friday.

I won't have it any earlier than Friday. Play and Amazon have it as in stock but CD WOW don't - and I can't be bothered cancelling with them and ordering from someone else. Although if it isn't despatched tomorrow I'll blow a fuse.

Go check you order on Play.com if it was despacthed today, then you should get it tomorrow.

Play are some tricky bastards though. Yesterday when I checked my order, it said posted 17/10/2006. I thought that's nice I'll get it on Thursday.

Then earlier on today, I went and checked my order history and it says, Football Manager 2007 - posted 18/10/2006. I still should get it tomorrow, but man, they know how to lie good.

I think that they sometimes just put posted to make you feel good.
