I'll play as anyone mate, pref Portsmouth.

I'm fucking wank at it though...it's the only one so far i haven't got to grips with straight away.

With Pompey, the best thing to do is buy Curtis Davies and Darren Bent.

Team line up should be.

GK: James

RB: Glen Johnson
LB: Stefanovic
CB: Campbell
CB: Davies

DM: Buy someone for here because Davis is not good enough.
CM: Fernandes (Give him plenty of creative freedom)
RM: O'Neil
LM: Kranjcar

ST: Andy Cole
ST: Darren Bent

You've got plenty of experience and youth here which will do you good.
Try coming up with a more defensive 4-5-1 tactic for away games too, you'll need one.

I'll try and get of a screen tonight of how I'd set up.

You might wanna make Campbell a role model for Davies and the Same for Cole with Bent.

thanks i will try

4-1-2-1-2 - the formation they start with but a bit more attacking than neutral, some creative freedom above normal, a bit shorter passing than mixed and a little bit of a quick tempo. No particular instructions per player either - I gave away more chances when asking my two central defenders (Nesta and Kaladze) and defensive midfielder (Pirlo) not to attack so much. EDIT: Screenshot below.

Selections are as such:

Dida always plays in goal.

I signed Marcelo from Fluminense as left-back with support from Favalli and Jankulovski, alternate between Jankulovski, Simic and Bonera at right-back, always play Kaladze in central defence (he outperforms both Nesta and Maldini) and usually partner him with Nesta.

Pirlo always plays as a defensive midfielder with my midfield pairing consisting of my favourite (Gourcuff and Gattuso/Ambrosini) with Luis Jimenez (Arezzo, £3m), Elano (CSKA, £9m) and Brocchi on the bench. Seedorf is a magnificent playmaker who can be replaced by Gourcuff, Elano or Luis Jimenez in that position for my team.

My number one striker is clearly Vincenzo Iaquinta (£9m) who has an average rating of 8.17 from 16 games with 16 goals and 7 assists. He plays alongside Oliveira most of the time.

I rotate the squad a little bit and the bench players are doing well. Don't be afraid to sell Kaka (I got £60m from Chelsea for him) as it gives you plenty of money to buy reinforcements and Gourcuff is exceptional. I also tried to offload Nesta as he isn't particularly brilliant but nobody wanted him.

Seedorf is my second highest goalscorer from the playmaking position with ten goals, followed by Oliveira who has eight.

Iaquinta is sometimes used as a target man which can turn games occasionally.

Serie A:

Doing even better than I did in the demo (15 wins, 3 draws at Christmas) so I'm pleasantly surprised. All down to Iaquinta who now lists me in Favoured Personnel.

Oh damn Iaquinta has just gone to roma on my game for 11.25mil lol didnt want him anyway as i have suazo who i hope will come on fire. I just can not seem to have the will to get rid of kaka as he is my favorite player in real life plus drogba plus 12mil is a bad deal imo. I have always played the 4.1.2.1.2 with milan as thats what they play in real life. I will use your instructions see if they help as ive just lost to roma with Iaquinta scoring i will report back on my team plus how i now have an important away trip to Chevio now. A big thanks for the help

Suazo should be good - I went for Iaquinta after I got pissed off with Cagliari. First they wanted £9.5m, 10% of a future sale and a friendly for Suazo, then they wanted £11.5m and 10%. They wouldn't back down so I was caught between Iaquinta and Di Michele. I opted for Iaquinta as he's of a different build to Inzaghi and Oliveira.

:shocking: £60m, who have you bought with that

Carlos Pinto and Vitor for free (two young players for my youth side)
Marcelo from Fluminense for £5.5m
Luis Jimenez from Arezzo for £3m
Vincenzo Iaquinta aka God from Udinese for £9m
Elano from CSKA Moscow for £9m

I'm trying to get Zapata from Udinese or Barzagli from Palermo (don't like his work rate and teamwork being 3 though), a solid right-back and Marco Amelia and I'll be completely happy with my squad.

He's strong, quick and can finish with right, left or head. The complete striker.

I had him in the demo when I was Roma and he was fantastic. A hard worker.

Installed the game and everything, so I decided to have a first ever crack at managing Valencia. In the sqaud I have some good players and Im almost happy with them all, but in the transfer region, I need a few new faces and so far its been hard to spend 700k properly. On top of it all no one seems to want to buy Angulo, Morientes, Reguiero and Caniera.

Ive been trying hard to make money, to bring in players and Ive sold a few lesser known players and Ive brought in Larsson, Reveliere and might get Sylvinho and I had missed out on a loan of van Persie.

Hard enough so far...

Just started with Palermo, only have 3.6m to spend, I signed Arouna Kone who's been pretty average so far. Plus he's finding it hard to settle. Also got Curtis Davies on loan from Chelsea, he and Barzagli are immense at the back.

The fixture gods weren't on my side though, my first 3 league games were away to Milan, away to Roma, and at home against Inter. Milan thumped me 3-0, and I was unlucky to lose 1-0 to both Roma and Inter. Got over that run, now unbeaten for four games with 3 wins and a draw, currently 8th after 7 games.

Barzagli, Davies, Fabio Simplicio, Bresciano, and Amuari have been my best players so far.

Still first in the SPL. 2 points clear of Dundee United and 3 points clear of Celtic. I have played 17, won 11, drawn 3, lost 3. Finding it slightly harder now when Kris Boyd and Dado Prso got injured. The 4-2-3-1 formation wasn't really working with Filip Sebo as he has played 10 games now only scoring 1.

I Decided to play Nacho Novo and he made a big change. Was class. Kris Boyd was fit and his condition was good and decided to play him, he got injured just after 30 minutes into the game. Dado Prso got injured again after two games. Although I managed to beat Schalke 3-0 (Novo scoring the first minute from 30 yards), Novo then got injured so now I am left with U19 strikers.

Was having trouble in the central midfield area when Hemdani, Murray, Clement, Ferguson where injured. Although Clement and Ferguson just got fit again (but Ferguson not ready to play.) And now Lee Martin fit aswell as Alan Hutton.

I'm doing not bad with a striker who is barely scoring (although did score against Schalke.) Won all 4 of my UEFA cup group games beating Rapid Bucharest away 1-0, Sporting Braga home 2-0, Groningen away 2-1 and Schalke home 3-0. Quite pleased with my start to the game. :) I drew CSKA Sofia in the last 32. Celtic drew current holders Sevilla. :D Although I will play either Fenerbahce or Palermo in the next round.
