That sucks Nath
I'm doing well with West Brom. Got them back into the Premiership. It's October now in my second season and I had a hard fixture list.
Man U were my first visitors to the Hawthornes in the first game in the league and I played out a 0-0 draw. I was happy, because I had a few players out injured and the squad is not so great Premiership wise.
Lost my 2-0 second match to West Ham. It was away and I used poor tactics. But I did not expect a win.
Another 0-0 draw at the Hawthornes, this time against Newcastle. I was struggling for goals. But Freddy Eastwood (I had bought him the previous year in the Championship, has been marvellous for me) was returning to fitness, so I knew I had some firepower coming soon
And Eastwood done just that. In a Carling Cup tie against Spurs at Whitehart Lane, he put us in the lead. I thought I was heading for the next round, but Robbie Keane equalised in the 90th minute. Extra flew by and it went to penalties, which I won and went through to the third round  unfortunately I was drawn with Arsenal at Emirates
I got my first 3 points of the campaign in the next game. I was away to Ipswich (them and Birmingham came up with me). Good ol' John Hartson grabbed the first goal and Eastwood hit a second.
Next game I entertained Middlebrough at the Hawthornes. An Eastwood header in the second half seperated us, on a night that had gone any teams way.
Then came the Midlands Derby against high flying Aston Villa at Villa Park. Koumas gave me a dream start scoing in 2 minutes. But Jordan Collins (some kid from their youth set up) equalised two minutes later. Laursen and Baros made it 3-1 before the break and it proved too much for my Baggies. 3-1 was the final score, Villa went top and I suffered my second loss of the campaign.
Doesn't help when you have Arsenal coming to your place for the next match...well actually it did! Eastwood - who stated that he wanted to use the club as a stepping stone for bigger and better stuff, but I don't hate him, because that is what I am doing - put us ahead with a looping header over the advancing Lehmann. Thierry Henry equalised with a nice goal. But late in the second half Andy D'Urso decided to give me a penalty that should not have happened, but I'm in no position to complain, I got to take what is given to me. Hartson put it away, we hung on till the end and recorded a great victory.
My Carling Cup game with Arsenal came at the wrong time. They were out for revenge and that is what they got, when they smashed me 4-0. Ouch.
But my team has great character and I would like to think that is because of myself. The nest game we travelled to Anfield to play Liverpool. Now on 9 minutes everyones favourite cunt, Uriah Rennie sees it fit to send of Muamba for nothing. But we do not lay down and die, Eastwood scores and then Albrechtsen adds a second. 10 man West Brom leading at Anfield! Obviously it was not enough drama for Rennie, so he sends Greening off for a second bookable offence. The substitue Fowler makes it 1-2, but the 9 men hold on. I was pretty lucky that Liverpool's finishing was the worst I've ever seen on this game, otherwise I would have been killed.
Next I had to entertain Chelsea (Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea all in a row :no

. I had a lot of injuries and suspensions in this match. In about 30 minutes I have already made two substitues, because two players have had to go off injured and then Nigel Quashie goes and gets sent off. The team gave a brave effort, but Saviola pounced on a parried shot by Ben Foster (who is amazing on the game) and makes it 1-0. Shevchenko kills the game about 10 minutes later and I lose the game 2-0 and also lose my undefeated home run. But hey, there is no shame losing to Chelsea
And that is where I have stopped for now.
