After a reasonably successf...ah, who am I kidding, unsuccessful-as-fuck attempt last time out, a small band of rogue dossers have decided to try again.
We will be using a version of the game with the latest patch, but will be looking to get started ASAP, so doubtful that a January transfer patch will be utilised.
However, we are planning to start a game in a sufficiently shit location that the fact that Benjani plays for Manchester City shouldn't cause too much of a guffaw.
Due to various social commitments, it has been agreed by those interested thus far that we will be playing every Monday, from 9pm to 11pm (GMT). This is non-negotiable.
After a bit of discussion, it was decided that there should be some rules:
1. No use of the "Search" function to look for individual players by name. You must use the devices provided in-game for a fairer, and more realistic, experience.
2. No nicknaming your players things like "Lolinho" and "McLmao."
3. After some consideration, the examples in rule 2 have been allowed.
That's it so far, it's a work-in-progress, rules-wise. Obviously turn-time will be an issue, but no-one who's enough of a plank to cause an issue here will be allowed to play, hopefully.
As tempting as a custom database of the Chadian league had proved, we decided to go slightly more up-market than that. Not sure where yet, won't be England, probably not Italy or Spain, either.
So far, we have myself, Original?, Dan19, Phatmann2003 and Top Gun.
