Well I've downloaded Hamachi anyway, which is just like Xfire.

Can somebody PM the Network Name and Password?

I still maintain that we don't all need Hamachi, if Top Gun were to enter the IP address in FM I imagine it would work, though I may be incorrect.

I imagine you're correct on this one, I really didn't have my brain with me yesterday.

Sunday nights are the best night for me, because it is the only night when I'm definitely not going to be at work. As for any other night, it varies week to week.

Also, my laptop is not pacy or powerful or anything, so will it be a problem if masses of leagues are running?

It shouldn't be a problem, as I'll be running as server - it depends more on your internet connection.

I think we've pretty much decided Mondays - you could easily enough get Monday evenings off work, if my experience in the bookies game is anything to by. Whether you'd want to consistently have it off, is up to you.

OK, everything - as far as I'm aware - is in place for the off.

All we need to do is get together and decide what league we're playing in. I have assigned a mystery special guest the role of team drawing, however we have to tell them where we'll be based for them to do that.

All six players that are confirmed have, at some point, connected to the game successfully. Four of us have tested game speed during matchdays, and all seems OK on that front, too.

There seems to be a rule in Belarus that prevents anyone scoring a goal - but that might be down to the ballboys putting the nets up the wrong way around on the Saturday morning, or possibly a black hole sitting on the centre circle of every pitch in Minsk, or something.

In Poland, on the other hand, you can score goals almost as easily as you can top up an Oyster card in London.

Would be good if Original? and Dan19 could, at some point, connect to the game to test out their matchday speeds - though I don't envision a problem.

Right, definitive voting for where we start is now under way.

So far, choices include:

• Eredivisie (without the big four)

• Somewhere in Eastern Europe

• Other

Eredivisie for me, as I'd like to be able to spell/pronounce my own players names. Plus, I'd prefer to work in a league that I have at least some sort of knowledge of the teams and players.

I think you shouldn't select a huge number of leagues like you did yesterday, as I've tried an online game today with fewer divisions and it ran a lot smoother. Not talking about only choosing 2 or 3 leagues, but anything over 12 would be exaggerated and unnecessary in my opinion.

My vote goes to Eredivisie.

But what if one of us gets Ajax, AZ, Feyenoord or PSV? Nifty has already stated "I have assigned a mystery special guest the role of team drawing" so I was just wondering when this will take place as I am eager to know which team I've got.

Oh, well he did mention asking Greenegg to draw them out of a hat but I'm not sure if that's still happening.

You should be able to. You will need to download Hamachi so you can join up with the rest of us who are playing as that's the only way we could get it to work. I can't remember what the password was but Nifty will be able to give it to you just before we start playing.

We're using the 8.0.1 patch, so you will need that.

Edit: Hamachi is needed to play FM online for any of you who are wondering. I've played several online games and can confirm it's the case.

I'm sure Nifty said that you will only get Eredivisie team that is out of top four.

I think I'm going to run 8 countries in total with a huge database. It'll be the big leagues plus some geographically adjacent ones to Holland.
