Started with Rangers, won my first 2 pre-season games comfortably so far - smashing Ross County 6-0 and Clyde 5-1. Sold Papac and Buffel for a total of £6m. Only signed Tobias Rau on loan so far, although Dudu Cearense and Kleberson are awaiting work permits. Also, does anyone know how to access the graphics file? They've changed it this year to a FMF file for whatever reason.

Is it the same as it is on FM 07 where they give you a decent amount in transfer funds, but absolutely fuck all to play with so far as wages go? I managed them and it was an absolute nightmare. Managed to get Hogan Ephraim in for nothing off West Ham and he hit about 35 goals for me in the season.

I ended up about 9th and quit to take the Oxford job. Upon winning promotion with them, I was offered the England job.

That's exactly how Crewe are run though.

They have a big budget, but seem to think 4 or 5 rubbish players on cheap wages are better than getting one good player in.

Its a philosophy that Gradi implemented to a degree too. Shame really as they've had the players to do better than they are.

To be fair though, I honestly don't care about Crewe. The place is a fucking shit hole. Makes Stoke look positively delightful.

Nice ground though.

All Gradi cares about is bringing young players through so he can get his cut of the transfer fee. Think it's 20% he gets.

Everyone loves him for this 'unique footballing principles' he supposedly has but it's bullshit. They play just as much long ball stuff as everyone else, except for us of course. ;)
