Okay, this seems a bit better. Given about £3.8M as a transfer fund after I said I would avoid relegation.

However, I only had one scout, so I rapidly signed three.

I signed Thomas Gravesen for free, and I have Davids on trial. I have Sneijder on loan again. I can buy him for £2.2M whenver I like too, which I will probably go for soonish.

I am negotiating a contract with McCann of Burnley, as are several other clubs. Quite cheap for £180K.

I have also applied for Man U's Fabio on loan.

I plan on getting the game in a couple of weeks. Might do the ultimate challenge and get Luton up - they do have the points deficit right? Sign loads of old cunts and that'll be eradicated in no time.

I'm nervous about the whole lives matches thing as well. Supposedly my computer can "handle it." But pretty much finds a way to mess something up after about two weeks of smooth running.

I still play 2008, will it even be worth getting if I don't plan on playing it live?

How about you buy a new graphics card too for Christmas? Or if you can't, get FM for your birthday and graphics card for Christmas.

I heard there's a 2d Engine if you want - for slower computers. Might want to check that again.

Yes there is. And there is 2 option. The 2d and 2d classic. 2d classic is like the one in FM 08 while the 2d has "feets".

The commentary only option is still available, and IMO, still the best way of playing FM.

Does having an inferior graphics card just mean the 3D engine won't run? Or will the game not run full stop?

My Time's situation on the other page has confused me. :unsure:

Help please. My strikers (Balotelli, Owen) can't score. Despite winning games, they usually didn't score and my scoreline is always like 1-0 or 2-1. And it seems that on FM09, my players keep doing long shots which I wouldn't preferred and despite setting Long Shot to Rarely, they kept doing that. And my goalie always mispassed the ball to my opponents instead of my players during goal kick.

EDIT: And to My Time, on your problem:

For the flashing L problem, make sure you download the 9.0.1 as it fixes the problem.

And if you're using Steam, click the icon "settings", click the tab "in game" and untick the "enable steam community" in Steam.

I have a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS but I don't know if you call that inferior. But the 3d engine still runs perfectly.
