Nice comments above. I do agree Fifas graphics aren't stunning anymore, I think pes 2010 graphics are sublime from the videos. Konami must have worked hard on improving the graphics, just hope they have worked twice as hard to improve the gameplay and bring back the original concept of a football simulation game rather than a arcade game.

Nope do not agree, looks like they are walking on the moon. PS3 games were only ever going to be good 3 years in and PES I'm sure will be back to what it was on PS2 this time.

for anyone who plays fifa, what is the main difference from fifa 09 and fifa 10? Reading peoples comments from various forums, theres not a noticable difference to warrant a purchase.

^But the small differences made to fifa 10 are worth it.
Shooting is better (though still some work to be done)
360 degrees is great when you learn how to use it fully (though not full 360 degrees for sure)
Dribbling is improved
These changes seem enough for me.
But still, there are some annoying things in fifa 10 like no individuality (which defines football and teams and players)
Dribble with technique is not good enough (dribble speed is the factor for beatign defenders)
Responsivness seems improved and it is better than 09, but sometimes it isn't enough. For example messi can surly react faster than in fifa 10 demo.
But overall fifa 10 is already better than 09 so far.
Still waiting for pes demo as it looks really good from what I've seen.

It's a tad faster and a bit more fluid. That's all. Graphics (non-hd) are EXACTLY the same, maybe even a bit less (models).

I've always played PES and had enough of PES 2009 after 5/6 months, then I bought FIFA 2009 for E 20,- (2nd hand) and had some fun with it for about 2 months.

FIFA 2010 is a bit better but I am very very sure I wouldn't enjoy FIFA 2010 for more than 1 or 2 months either. Single player that is. The AI plays really really lame.

as in PES the AI never scores enough. They only ever seem to focus on improving the AIs defense which is a shame. I would give FIFA10 a bit of credit in the models department, they aint as good as PES but they look alot better and more real than 09, well the ones who have received a bit of effort. FIFA09 gave me abit more play time, i bought it once i got bored of PES09 for £20 at asda, i played a manager mode for 5 seasons before it kept crashing whenever i tried to play QPR so i couldnt continue. PES lasted me about 8 ML seasons, but i had online to play on FIFA, a few ranked matches are good and a BAL game keeps it fresh, i simply couldnt tolerate PES online after my 1st game so i hope thats fixed.

one thing i hope both games address is the ML and manager mode signings. before i made it to the prem and QPR joined me i played them in the championship to see Rafael Van Der Vaart line up on the left side of midefield, this was just appauling. a couple of times in PES similar things have happened, like Beckham moving to Middlesbourough, personnaly i think he sucks and would barely be good enough for Bourough but he would never move there.

played the demo yesterday and can say without any shadow of a doubt that it is garbage.the animations of the players close up are a joke, and the whole feel of the game feels stiff and unresponsive.the dribbling is the worst thing about the whole game.how anyone buys fifa over pro is beyond me.pro is still at the top of the footy game world

the annoying thing about the demo is the referee gives away free kicks/penalties too easily! A little tap and I was awarded a penalty, i didn't even go over. That is what i dislike most about fifa 10. Hope they fix this...

I think the free kicks in FIFA 10 are way too easy... but cool goals thoe ;)
and PES 2009 is somewhat hard sometimes i have to hold 2 buttons and press two other ones keeping in mind not to push the shooting buttom too much... very erritating when it hits the post (which happens quit often in 7 or 8 matches 5 of my free kick hit the post)...

I mean ive waited a year to play it and ive not played more than 6 games in 3 days or w/e. Its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring.

You wouldn't know with Beckham the MERCENARY. He'll do anything to grab a headline that tries to convince the ordinary tabloid reading Joe Soap that he's Special.

all you need to do in fifa 10 is one touch passes. Honestly that is all i need to do to get behind the defence, and just do a placed shot. I find it too easy =/

also i find lobs far too easy on this game...

^It's not that easy you know. But yes one touch passes only can break the defence (even inexperienced defenders) because dribbling is ineffective in most cases as speed is the factor for beating defenders.
I find that part really unrealistic.
