This is a Pes 2010 discussion board. However Ive just played the demo for Fifa 10 and its very small in terms of improvement compared to 09, saying that 09 was a solid football game.

Cant believe Pique, Busquets, Maxwell (Barca), Sissoko (Juve) Alex (Chelsea), None of these have his correct face respectevly however Dan Sturidge from Chelsea has haha :S

I will be buying Fifa 10 as a stop gap til Pes... then it will be up to Pro to win me over which it has been doing hansomely so far this summer.

Rich mofo! ME can't afford to splash £50-£60 on 2 games! Nooooooooooooooooo :(

I havnt managed to play more than 2 games in 1 session with fifa 2010. Its so boring. Playing this crap is just getting me more hyped for Pes.

Couldn't agree more, its like playing on the moon. Slow motion players, floaty ball, basically FIFA09 with 360º (16 way from what I could tell) and crowds from PES5. And FIFA09 was basically FIFA07 with improved graphics (but not that improved).

360 degree?Maybe 16 directions movement as you said. This 360 movement was just an EA trick to fool fanboys to buy a repached FIFA 03.

I know, before you all gun me down, its a bold statement to jump ship after all this time but i've been looking at videos and they just seem so much more advanced than PES is right now. The kits, the graphics and now even the gameplay.

Take a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wGzryPg_ag at tell me i'm not right!

nobody should gun you down, you do what you thinks best. personnaly i will be buying both for the second year running. you cant beat PES with mates. But FIFA has come on so far, the new demo isnt that different from FIFA09 but it seems they have addressed the major issues, like players getting in the way of your pass, now if you hit a hard pass and one of your own players is in the way he will do everything possible to evade the ball, before they just tried to control it with a donkey touch. the games reactions arent as slow any more either. and the shooting has improved quite a bit, but its still lacking behind PES's shooting system.

as for the mini graphics debate going on in here, i think PES's faces are 10X better and who ever says otherwise needs to get to specsavers quick! FIFA looks better from a distance, in the in game view as the lighting is better, PES tends to look a bit cartoony with solid colours from a distance, but zoom in and the realism is uncanny.

btw did anybody notice Cech's rating on the demo? its 68 i think. EA either think he sucks or thats a big mistake. his GK positioning is strangely at 1. i know hes crap at gathering the ball from corners but 1's a bit harsh!

there's something in fifa's gameplay this year that i like... The build up play was brilliant, linking passes as well, i may get both unless the pes demo is rubbish.

Last year there was something i didnt like, this year its seems that much more fluid. Maybe it's because i've played it so little and will get bored soon but i liked it and will get it unless i get bored by oct 2nd

Basically the only reason i'm saying that I will be buying Fifa this year is because in the time I have ignored Fifa and simply laughed at it, because it was poor, really poor from '99-'07 lets say.

But now I just can't ignore it, I have watched videos, played the demo, read reviews and to be honest I like what I see. New modes, better graphics, up to date kits, realism, full stadia, more teams and the game just seems so much more real.

In the time I have been dedicated to Pro Evo, I have noticed that very little has really changed. Commentary basically hasn't changed in a decade, still poor, same coments and overall its just shabby. Stadia is poor, we used to have Old Trafford, Anfield, Highbury etc. now we have none, seems like a big step back. Edit mode remains brilliant, but the hours/days/months I have spent changing kits/boots/appearances is just too much to take anymore, downloading and unzipping data files just to have real kits. Fifa has all this upon inserting the disk. Yes the faces may not be as good, but they cover a massive roster of teams and the effort and detail put in is outstanding.

To conclude, I will definitely be buying PES2010 as I am loyal, and have been ever since I got the taste way back when on the SNES playing I.S.S. and the first Playstation edition with the most wild names I have ever seen. I love Pro Evo, but i'm just saying that year after year they seem to put out the exact same game, with little in the way of updates apart from kits, when even then the unregistered teams kits are woeful, would it not hurt to give a little bit of detail on a kit?

Anyway, rant over. I will be buying PES, but this year I will also be buying FIFA, and then judging for myself who really is the boss!

just played the demo, and i have to say i did enjoy it. I found that players move better, crosses and free kicks are better and there are a few new animations. How ever i couldn't see any major improvements from last year's fifa 09. Didn't even notice a difference witht the 360 degree movement. I enjoyed it but it really is only just a fifa 09.2

also is it just me, or is it really easy to lob the goalkeeper in this game?

We are fools lads!!! whos got PES 3 on the ps2 still? whack it in put it on a big TV with the component cable play and marvel how Konami captured the spirit of football years ahead of schedule.

the game flows the players loose to control the stadium atmosphere quality (with a decent if not quite loud enough "yeaaaa" when you score) oh and that Benzema finish on the PES 2010 vids? yes its already in PES 3 or at least it looks 99% the same.yea the game had it flaws but it should have been the starting point instead things get taken out ect you know the story but if you asked me back then when i was hooked on PES 3 in 2004 what do i think PES 2010 might be like i would have prob replied we would be wearing virtual reality helmets and the like but i def wouldnt have thought the game would be along the path it is now.yea ill play it like all the others but i will still marvel at the classic game that was years ahead of its time and if you read this long post thanks for taking the time to and if your one of those who didnt then you wont see me calling you a f****** ***!!

take care im off to shave my wifes back x

^Spot On! Eggy ... still play pes 3 now... so much better still than any other footie game... yes the keepers are a bit limited and a bit dodgy when you rush them... but at least they were responsive when you rushed them unlike the modern Pes games where they barely move. Pes 4 and 5 wernt bad but its all gone terribly downhill since then... I bought Fifa 09 last year, initially thought it was ok, but over time its many flaws became more and more evident, which leaves me to conclude... there are no decent modern footie releases, Konami are getting worse and EA have taken 14 years to make an ok at best football game.

Just played the demo :erm: Not a fan the commentary was decent. I think the kits are not nice at all they look like the rip offs that are made in Thailand. Many of the players don't even resemble themselves in the least. Out of the entire Marseille team only Mandanda is recognizable.
