Custom formation 4-1-4-1 The 'Pirlo' Role

After experimenting with Valencia on the 2nd demo to find an effective defensive formation but with creativity from deep, a la Pirlo, I struck upon this. Fortunately on PES2013 Banega has a surprisingly high overall for a CB, his passing and dribbling meant that I was able to play everything through him. I played a mix of styles and I beat both Real Madrid and Man Utd 1-0 each with a similar move in each game, Banega from inside my own half plays a long angled ball into the wings where Feghouli cuts the ball back for Pablo against Real and then Jonas in the Man Utd game. Both games were played on Superstar level.

What I found useful with this formation was that Banega always provided a shield for my centrebacks, he would drop deep to collect the ball when either of them had the ball. His deft dribbling meant that I could keep the ball with him in tight situations and set up attacks as there was little pressure on him. This and his long raking passing ability drew obvious comparisons with Pirlo.

So below is a 5-4-1 formation using the defensive auto setting (much safer than quick counter or possession), having the back line deep allows the 3rd centreback, essentially your anchor man, room to screen and set up attacks. Players suitable in this role would have good passing and excellent ball control and dribbling. I'm likely going to try Tino Costa in this role - I'll ignore the obvious low overall he'll get for playing there. One consideration will be if this is used in ML the player you deploy there may complain about being played out of position.

SWANSEA CITY / 4-2-3-1

The sliders are set to offer what I believe - having tested it, a formation and system that allows the fullbacks to stay wide and be a focus for attack.

Although the wide midfielders are narrow, having watched the game yesterday, Dyer and Routledge were always looking to switch position and vary playing wide to narrow in attack when Swansea were in possession.

As such the wingers in this when you have the ball will run wide and offer width but the setup allows the fullbacks to bomb forward as Taylor and Rangel do - It also allows for the wide players to tuck inside when balls are played into the opposition penalty area.

It's always showing the same picture to me?
It's saysing Swansea but showing Italy.

Swansea aren't on the demo, so Sminky has just amended the formations on the teams available on the demo to what various Premiership teams play.

On pes 2012 I have made complete formations for all 20 teams.. when I say complete I mean every team has 4 formations/strategies which even the ai will use both in exhibition and tournament mode I have default (what I think is their real formation)/alternative strategy or formation/all out defensive formation/all out attacking formation..which for most teams has 5 players in the front line

But I have a question when you import data from pes 2012 into 2013 it does not load this data.. so can I import it into pes 2013...and also where is stored which folder?..It took me quite alot of time to make all these formations.. the reason I did so was so that whoever was playing could change their gameplan on the fly..without having to continually pause the game and it works well...

You're probably best off posting this in the editing questions forum. However, if you're on PS3 or Xbox and it doesn't import the formations when you import prequel data, I would say it's very unlikely you can do it. There used to be an option to save formations but it's gone now.
