Whats Doom 3 like?my mates lent me it, but I haven't got round to installing it yet, Might not bother if it's poor.
DOOM3 is pretty but nothing else. The gameplay is crap and outdated.

Cool, I'm seeing a lot of votes for Half LIfe 2 here, do you guys play it online or is Counter Strike you use?
Half-Life 2 on its own is a great single player game. It only takes about 11 Hours your first trip through, but you will want to play it again because it is so fun. It also has counter-strike source, which is great if you are a counter-strike fan. The silver package through steam also comes with Day of defeat soucre, also a balst. Even the simple HL2 Deathmatch is great. Not to mention all the mods in production right now. www.goldeneyesource.com There is a great mod for N64 Goldeneye fans, they have the alpha version with a few maps and online play for download. Their plan is to remake the entire Goldeneye game on the source engine, even the single player portion. The main reason why the Half-Life series is so loved, is due to the modding community.

Yeh I have F.E.A.R, make sure if you get it, your PC is high spec.Check the back of the box for the requirements as performance will be severely disrupted if you do not change the settings.

Right, I'm buying F.E.A.R today, whilst Call of Duty 2 arrived with my new graphics card yesterday. Not sure when I'll actually get around to playing them (depends on when I get around to putting my new machine together)

Unreal Tournament and Call Of Duty are the best I've played on. Although Medal Of Honor Warchest is great value for money. £15 for around 12 long missions, and 30 multiplayer maps with 8 game modes. Or some mumbo-jumbo like that. Great longivity on that game.

For online play it's gotta be Battlefield 2. WHen you get on a decent server/map, the battles can be INTENSE!

My favourite maps are Russian Border and BridgeTooFar. I only got it yesterday and play CTF because it's funner than Conquest. Btw, what do the stars mean when you're finding a game?

BF2 and Max Payne 2, for online(BF2) and offline(MP). 1st one is intense if online and with good map and server, 2nd one is incredibly stylish, cool as hell yet a bit too short.

Never heard of those maps before, best at pes. You play a mod or something?

You haven't heard of them? Well when a match is finished, sometimes you get to vote for the location of the next one. When you scroll through you should see all the maps.
EDIT: Nope never played a mod, just join random games.

I don't understand, you call it then seem to praise it?
What i meant was, the game itself sucked, runnging through the same shit, but the graphics and atmosphere were good.

Right, having installed F.E.A.R. yesterday, I must say that the atmosphere and graphics are incredible. Especially with the unexplained things going on in the early stages that I'm currently playing. Looks like a very good game, though it blatantly reminds me of Max Payne in two particular ways.

I only ever really play PES these days, it's all I have time for but I used to ocasionally crack out my dreamcast and balst through Shenmue 1 & 2 possibly the best 2 games ever that not many have played

Man have any of you guys got Farcry, just got it off a mate a few days ago and it is absolutely amazing. It is very realistic too(thus far) and it is a lot more easy to get into in my opinion than the likes of Doom.I ususally prefer the realistic shooters over the zombie/alien style things, but seriously you should check it out.
