What is the advantage/disadvantage of having this on or off?

I have scanned through the manual, the net and this site- but nothing.

I could ask the same for 'wait for v-sync' in option setting.

Any ideas what those settings are for?

The Frame Skipping feature is put out there to help poor PCs to handle the game by reducing the frames that are slow to show on screen .. in summery,if you have a capable PC , turn this OFF.

Wait for V-sync..is pretty easy to understand...is to syncronize the upper and lower parts of screen when moving horizantly..Turn this ON if you have a good-spec. PC...
