Free Kick Power???

ive noticed i cant kick as hard nor as fast with...say...Roberto Carlos when i kick for goal (i used to be able to make the GK do a forced save which makes for more options to score from the tap away....anything within 45 m!) in WE9.
does anyone have tips to free kick in this new version?
cos im sick of kicking the ball so slow/gutless that the camera can keep up and GK makes easy saves!

Press Forward and L1... Square to exactly half the meter when near the box... Over 30 meters I go for the Half meter+"One piece". Then after he hits the ball a press Up+Left for a curve to the left.. Then sometimes I don't ude the L1 button and just press Forward and then Down+Left to curve it down after the wall so it doesn't go over the goal.

I started using the L1 button in we9 but otherwise it workes the same wat as always for me.

yes if u hold up whilst the power booster is going up let go of square wen u jus go over the half way mark
