frustrating problem

for some reason in my ML i am having to problems. For one although my team popularity is shown as going up when ever i go to neogotiate with a player it shows my popularity as being E still even though its C. I also cannot find any out of contract players, at the end of every season i look in the unattached group but it always says 'no players match the criteria'. I have tried messing on with the settings but cant change it. has anybody got ideas to help? it would be really appreciated.

i think i know whar you mean, is it when you actully click on a player? i may be wrong but i think its the popularity of his team although nor 100% on that
