Fucked up difficulty levels

Right, I've got a little story to tell you children lol.
I would consider myself a 6* veteran now as i've won many seasons in master league on 6* and very rarely lose to the computer. However my matches are normally tight, 1 or 2 nil (although there are the occasional 5 and 6 nils).
I was trying out some different tricks, ie. the ramona and the flip flap just in training mode. I decided it would be more entertaining to see these in a match leading to goals.
So i set up a match and decided to have a 3* match as barcelona against hamburger sv for a slightly more open game. Instead I found myself 3-0 down in under 20 mins of the game?
I rarely concede 1 on 6* nevermind 3. So why are 3* more difficult to play than 5 or 6*? It appears that teams on 3* play an all out attacking game while teams on 6* sit back and defend.
Anyone know anything about this?

Happen to me the same! Sometimes a friend come to my house and play in
3*. If he is losing, I decide to help him, but I cant score a goal! But for example I play in 5* in my ML and dont conceed any goal and score 7 goals in my last match. Its really crazy!

You have to tweak your playing style for the different difficultly levels.

If you play 3* for a while you'll get used to it again and it'll be easy.

Aye I suppose thats probably right, but 6* does seem very defensive when you play 3* for a night

I think people confuse the star rating system as some kind of difficulty level.

It doesn't make play the computer any harder or easier but rather changes the CPU's approach to the game (from 3* onward this applies to really). Some approaches are easier to beat then others. Certain levels have the computer playing more attacking whilst some more defensive.

Obviously, the higher the rating, the better the CPU is at playing this way. 6* CPU is far more efficient at scoring then 4* for example.

If this is the case then I would like to see a random rating introduced or maybe an assigned rating for each team, this would make the game more realistic and harder to master, for example for the first time WE10 had me stumped a little, I could not put a run of two wins together(5*) but as always I knew that once I had the rythm I would be back to old times, and although it took a couple of games of FIFA world cup (you have to keep an eye on the competition( and for the record is not too bad)) to get me there, I am now there and winning as before. But when you are faced with different playing styles it is not as easy to settle in to a rythm or a rut if you will.

so u toking abt we10?? in 3*, u can literally dribble pass the whole defense before scoring.. maybe u r playing too cautious?? in 3*, to win is to go all out attack..

I found that 6* includes some heavy defending by the CPU teams. But 5* is fairly balanced and the team is spread out quite evenly.

The defending is reckless rather than heavy. The defenders just lock on their target and charge forward leaving gaps. You can never enjoy a nice stand off. You never have time to think your next move. It's way too hectic most of the time. I specially hate it when you outrun them and they trip you from behind and never even get carded.

Im glad someone has mentioned this. I think what happens is we pay the CPU too much respect and the CPU acts a little different but give it 3-5 goes on 3* after playing 6* and youll see youre able to make ridiculously lomg run etc and eventually start destroying them.

And about the CPU pushing you out, WE10 more than any if you use super cancel or R2, particularly with the ball in the air (Opposition attempting a header and your right there) you can nudge players under the ball, make them mis judge the jump and gain plenty of space very easily at times does take some practice and if you get it wrong in defence (Super Cancel to knock a winger off his cross is one example) youll pay dearly but its satisfying when you get it right scored some crackers and it does take skill its not a "Cheat".

3* is very simple to beat. The computer will send one player after the man with the ball at a blistering pace. Shake him down to the grass, and you should have a clear look at the goal. If you don't, cut it back, and they'll send another player from the goal area out to pick you up, which frees the net open.

3* is only tough because the computer plays extremely boxed up. If you spread their defense out a little, you can make runs at the middle part of the box all day long. They'll go for your first move and then it's just you and the keeper.
