Not sure if anyone can help.

Ive installed the game, Im well above recommended specs.

However when I click on the exe. to play, nothing happens!
settings open when i use that exe but not the game.
I wonder if it is because I am running windows 8!?

however windows 8 is shown as supported on the system requirements.

Assuming Windows 8 has compatibility mode, have you tried that? Sorry I don't have the game (or Windows 8!) to test anything.

Check your directX.Update if required.
Update graphic card driver.
Make sure the "original" game dvd is in your DVD driver..

Windows 8 is not your issue.

tried compatability, no joy just does the same thing.

direct x, framework and all hardware drivers are up to date.

antivirus and firewall etc tried with those off.

it must be windows 8:erm:

Have you tried running Windows in safe mode and seeing if the game will go any further? It could be some sort of strange driver conflict.

I have the same issue.....solved it by downloading a pirated release which works fine :/

(so please note - I have bought the game and have a legit copy on a dvd, it's just that it won't work, that's why I had to resort to illegally downloading the game....quite awkward)
