I have said this many times, but i don't believe i have ever posted it, so here it is.
The 3 Main Football Games currently occupying peoples systems are Pro Evolution Soccer, Fifa, And This Is Football. Obviously, all have yearly updates, but the games can be compared to the top three English Clubs in the Premier League.
Fifa Soccer is the Chelsea of the gaming world. Every year, it has money thrown at it, bringing in Fads and tacky new additions that you know in a years time will be forgotten about. (This Years, It Is Good First Touch, Last year it was Off The Ball Control!) Yes, at times in can be attractive but more often than not its boring and very predictable. (7 Goals in 7 games Chelsea!!!)
This Is Football is definatly the Manchester United. No one admits to liking them, unless you are a die hard fan. But in the late 90's when Pro Evo was not available on PS2, the majority of peeps had a copy of TIF. It has some good features like teh Dive Button (like Rooney) and people enjoy that part, but when it is put in close quarters with the other 2, in looks, currently a poor third.
Leaving Pro Evolution Soccer as the Arsenal of the bunch. It is classy and understated, but arrogant its brilliance. It slowly becomes more commercialeach year, with sponsers (Like arsenals new stadium) but always has the ability to unearth new features such as choose your celebration (fabregas). Each year it gets progressivly better, and does not worry about how much money is being spent on other games around it. Its the most attractive of the three games, and has the majority of football fans treating it with respect for the way it plays!
