Gameplay comparison of pes09 and fifa 09

here you go moaning about us bigging up fifa when we havent played it, even though we have seen evidence of others playing it.

Then you say pro evo 09 plays like pro evo 5/6 without having played it yourself. You're going around in circles and starting to sound a bit biased.

I'm basing my judgement on gameplay videos and reviews. Even pes fans on other forums and gameplay videos of fifa 09 on youtube think fifa is better.

well if you base it on seeing the videos, I'll go by the video of sea bass's interview.. gameplay looks the best in that video...

Chinaman has already admitted he's an EA rep earlier on in this post so his intentions on this site are clear, but I fail to see what the gains are going to be....

I am just trying too convince you because i dont want you to lose out on a fantastic game Take it like this, imagine fifa 08 was the first fifa ever. Because thats what it essentially is. It's completely diferent to past fifas and people just have it in their mind that fifa will always play like fifa 04 on ps1. If fifa 08 was called Total Football 08 or something like that, pes fans would have a different mindset towards the game.

Im sure there's plenty of people that already enjoy FIFA and would take little to no convincing of the games virtues....

But its a bit mischevious at best and provocative at worse to come to a website called "pesgaming" and shoot down all the ideals of the "fans" of the game have...

Of course if you were to go to a secular games website such as operationsports or similar, you voice would probably have more resonance....

just my thoughts mate.

pierre, ive no problems with you. You've expressed your opinion and not been aggressive or childish about it unlike a few earlier posters. Obviously there will be people who prefer pro evo, but I hope you will play fifa 09 when it comes out, even download the demo on september 11th on ps3 and give it a go! Im 100% confident you will like it and purchase the full game when it comes out on oct 3rd.

Face it, you WANT pro evo to be better, but you know inside you that fifa has improved so much in 2 years that it is now better than pro, yet you cant admit it.

EURO08 looked much better than PES5, did this make the Game any better?? No.. You can't really make much out of it by just watching "videoclips" of the Gameplay.

You compare EURO 2008 with PES5 -and- you'd think EURO08 is better -when- it isn't even close to PES5 in terms of Gameplay. So, it's about the "Feeling" of the Gameplay -Not- How it looks Like in a Video.

And Reviews aren't very Reliable this days..

Anyways, I will No Doubt give FIFA09 a try once the Demo is out.

he's not shooting down anything man... I still think fifa will be shit... just because of previous showings, if its a better game, then I'll be proven wrong, but it's totally reasonable assuming fifa will have inferior gameplay based on previous showings...

luton town might beat united at the old trafford once in a blue moon, but you'll never expect it because of what each side has shown in the past... luton being fifa, and PES being united... (obviously) but anything can happen... however I won't hold my breath on fifa having the better gameplay

I will definetly try FIFA, probably buy it as well, but the reality is the gameplay of PES has always had that je ne sais quo....

I mean PES has hsit loads of faults which have been highlighted and of course FIFA has even more faults but essentially the former gives me great pleasure playing it in 1 or 2 player modes.....

There definetly a hell of alot of things to admire about where EA's taking the game and the British influence on the game has removed more of the gimmicky, "showtime" American style nature that plagued the game infrastructure beforehand...

I look forward to see who delivers the most entertaining experience..

the gameplay is what u feel when u play the game man not what u see,
because looks aren't what makes a game it just polishes it up.
but if you want to compare graphics and the way the game looks than yes ur right most FIFA videos look much better than PES videos, unless you compare them to the video with SEABASS because that one looks class.
but just like AMATEUR said FIFA08 had better graphics then PES5 and still the gameplay was better in PES5.

Chinaman is a fifa fanboy. By now it was obvious. But it's his opinion.
Anyway I said that it plays like pes 5/6 from the videos so far. It looks slower and more tactical. Look closley.

I'll play pes 08 over fifa 08 any day... and I feel most people will agree... especially with friends... fifa like I said, I'll believe it when I see it, if it's better, then I'll pick it up, ifit's shit, like it usually is, then nothing will have changed, and I'll probably won't hear from you come september 30 when winning eleven 09 comes out... then we'll know wot up... but untill then I'll only affirm about the games I've played....

If you're talkign about me, I was just stating facts. If I was a pes fanboy I would say Pes anyday, any time. and I wouldn't have admitted that Fifa has better stadiums. I said that I would get both. Enough said.
