First port of call

We already knew the Crysis 2 demo was destined for the PC on March 1 (and the PS3 sometime "soon"), but EA confirms today that it'll also be returning to the Xbox 360. The multiplayer demo, for those who didn't get a chance to try it out on the Xbox 360, features two maps and two different game modes: "Pier 17" and "Skyline" are a dilapidated dock and series of NYC rooftops, respectively, while Team Instant Action is your standard team deathmatch variant and Team Crash Site is an objective-based mode where players must find and capture designated areas for points.

Yes, I read about this earlier today. They mentioned that the countdown clock will end on the 2nd March, so I'm guessing that site will link to something on that day or link to somewhere that does. Any rumours floating about concerning MW3?

Well shortly after posting that I looked on gametrailers and apparently the countdown is a hoax. As far as MW3 rumours, I know nothing.

I don't think i'd buy it though, i'm just not into prancing about the room like a nonce.

Brilliant technology though, I love how everyone is hacking it and using it for different things.

I would buy it if there was good games to play using it but not for these stupid party games like the Wii. I haven't played a game on the Wii for months, maybe even a year.

I don't think I'd ever buy the Kinect, utter waste of money. You can buy a PS2 and an Eyetoy for about £20 thesedays. Job done.

Nah nah Kinect is way different than the eyetoy, it's just that the commerical games being made for it at the moment are awful and what the hackers are doing is way way more creative.

Yeah, the Kinect is pretty fun. I don't have it and probably won't bother to buy it, but it's alright. It's no where near it's potential yet.

It seems that THQ is in a state of flux right at the moment. The company’s 2014 game lineup has been cancelled, and the publisher is currently trying to find a buyer.

Kevin Dent, who has been sending out a slew of tweets about the situation, said that “THQ are offering themselves to Asian firms to increase value!”

Games Workshop’s MMO has been canned. This was almost certainly Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online.

Other THQ projects, such as Darksiders II, Metro: The Last Light, and Devil’s Third are presumably still in development.
