Getting online, what and how?

I have a PS2 (old style), PES2008 and an internet connection, could someone please advise on what I need to buy and do to get online?

I am fed up of playing the CPU and fancy this online stuff, sounds fun!

I dont think the original PS2 can play online, can it?

I know the slim PS2's can though.

Yeah the old PS2 can online but you have to buy a the hard drive seperately

Mate, do what I've done. Finally let go of PS2 and bought a Next Gen console. Online play on the PS2 is awful

There is no need for me to buy a next-gen as I only play Pro, just enjoy playing it more against real people rather than the cpu.

No reason for me to spend that money on one, quite happy to stick with what I've got.

Get yourself a PS2 Ethernet Adapter from Ebay.

It will come with a Network Access DVD, use that DVD to configure your Broadband connection and save a Network Configuration File to your Memory Card.

You will also need a Wired Ethernet 10/100 Mbps Modem Router and a long RJ-45 Ethernet Cable to play online with your PS2.
