This is what the option file contains so far and who did what-
-ALL player names changed/corrected to real ones- gjsmsmith
-ALL permanent transfers up to date (plus created player kenwyne Jones) -gjsmsmith
-ALL Team names changed/corrected to real ones- gjsmsmith-ALL English Prem kits edited with the in-game editor to look more realistic- gjsmsmith
-loads more updated goalkeeper kits- gjsmsmith
-8 photo realistic Photo/scan kits ( you have the choice of Chelsea H/A, Arsenal H/A, Liverpool H/A, Manu H/A, 'OR' chelsea H, Man city H, Man.u.H, west ham H, Everton H, Arsenal H, Liverpool H, and Villa H)- All created and photographed by gjsmsmith with original westham template supplied by Swampy and Villa recommendations by Kammy
-Most International kits corrected (ie. Germany, poland, isreal etc........) -gjsmsmith
-Player appearances corrected- All Argyle and Leeds players plus barton, riise, ashton, flamini, sidwell, bellamy, collins, kitson (all by gjsmsmith) Agger, kewell, alonso, babel, gerrard, torres, benayoun, almunia, lucas, voronin, fabregas, richards, lescott, schmeichel, reina and ben maim (all by Giz_19) All coventry and leicester players by Axel Foley
-lower league teams added to the spare custom group using football manager 2008 stats and a 'verter'- Plymouth Argyle, Leeds united (both by gjsmsmith) leicester and coventry by axel_foley
-shirt name and number styles (by gjsmsmith and giz_19)

PS. some of the kit colours on the new edit file have been changed slightly to match the new photo kits so u have to use the correct edit file that comes with the new kits to get it to look correct.

MESSAGE TO ALL_ Axel has kindly added leicester and coventry and the new option file should be uploaded in a couple of days once i have converted it into 2 different option files (one with 4 teams kits H/A and one with 8 teams home kits)

I too just want to add my appreciation for all the hard work that you guys have put in to this... i noticed that on ebay there are still some scum selling the last version of your option file...

as an aside...i'm a bit obsessed with having pro evo 2008 as real as possible...with your permission...i'm thinking of a project whereby i would edit the formations of all the major teams in the various leagues to their current accurate team formation and starting players using the following website http://www.football-lineups.com/

p.s. was someone also going to add a werder bremen side to this file?

The Xsata one is easy.

- Follow the instructions for setting it up in the manual.
- Download/Install Xplorer360
- Turn on PC and connect cable from PC to Xbox xsata component.
- Turn on Xbox 360 (This order of turning on xbox 360 and connecting of cable is vital)
- Run xplorer360 (if on Vista, right click on it and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR)
- Go into Partition 2 (or possibly 3) and find the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 edit files.
- Replace the PES2008_EDIT01.bin file with gjsmsmith's option file PES2008_EDIT01.bin file.
- Add all of the PES2008_UNIFORMxx.bin files to this folder.
- Reboot Xbox 360 with xsata cable unplugged.
- Voila !

P.S. The Xsata is probably the easiest way to do it, but at £25-£30 it can be deemed a bit pricy.

Quick one. gjgsmsmith do you know which kits are which save files for both versions of 2.0? I'm a gooner and want to combine your two files more specifically replace the Villa home kit with the Arsenal away kit so I always have the correct Arsenal kit but 7 other teams home kits. This way I am guarenteed to see at least one photo strip.

The only way I've found so far is loading the game deleting a kit loading a game seeing which one has gone, deleting another etc and it's taking an age. If you had the list that would be fab!

i aint been on the forums for long. im on PESFan, aint used it for yonks. went on it today and got more confused then a sket on her period :s i want to transfer that option file on to my 360. i got a 256 memory card and i wanna buy this. the rest i can do myself. i just want to know if this thing will let me transfer the shizzle on to my 360 and if it will work correctly and not corrupt anything. do let me know quickly please ANYONE. cheers

I decided to embark on the task of identifying for those that wish to have the home and away kit of their favourite "big four" club and the remainder of home kits of their chosen teams from the "8 home kit v2" file which uniform bin numbers correspond to each team in the "4 kit h/a" and the "8 h kit" versions of the latest v2 file. i'm using a xsata to transfer to my xbox 360.

What i found (and i don't know if anyone else has had this problem) is that for those that used solely ALL THE UNIFORM FILES from the "8 kit version" of the v2 file then the ASTON VILLA H/KIT (uniform 04 in 8 kit version) will appear on the MAN UTD away kit strip --- the EVERTON H/KIT (uniform 05 in 8 kit version) will appear on the CHELSEA away kit strip--- WEST HAM H/KIT (uniform 08 in the 8 kit version) will appear on the LIVERPOOL away kit strip---and finally the MAN CITY H/KIT (uniform 03 in the 8 kit version) will appear--yep you guessed it...on the ARESNAL away kit strip...


So for me at least...it seems my 360 is seeing the 'other 4 kits' as the away kits to the "top four" kits...how to resolve this i don't know...Now i don't know if this is unique to me or not and /or if it it can be fixed just thought you guys should know…there may not be a problem if you use only some of the files and as such below are the uniform numbers and their corresponding team for the 4 kit and 8 kit version of the V2 file

well that's the part i'm not sure of...i.e. if the renaming will be enough to sought it out...i'm off work today so i'll tinker around myself to see if i can solve it but i'm really waiting for one of the V2 file creators to give some feedback on what to do...i'll post what i find out...if anything
