Hmmmm...Okay, this is a wierd one.

On my HD I delete the old Uniform files from it (the Top 4 H & A kit files), and I then put on the 8 Home Kits (Uniform files), but swap Uniteds away for Villas away....BUT....When I play the game, it still has the Arsenal's, Liverpools, and Chelseas away kits on it!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE WHEN I DELETED THEM FROM MY HD???!
Im baffled....
At first I though maybe there were saved in my option file, so I deleted it from my HD, and put the option file from the '8 home kit' on my HD....Yet still, I have no Man City home kit for example, but have Liverpools away. IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!

I just want Uniteds away and home kit!!

Infact its done now. Got Man Utds home and away kit, plus 6 other home kits.

Dont know why it didnt work first time. Ive got my original edit file, but put in the 8 uniform files, and then assisgned each kit to correct team. After a bit of colour editing on my option file, they blend beautifully!!!

I had ended up deleted all my replay data, and then everything worked fine. Before that, even though I had (for example) West Hams home kit, after deleting Arsenals away kit from my HD, it was still showing Arsenals away kit which shouldnt even be on my HD!! Anyways its fine now....

Dont know if deleting replays had anything but it did something. Either that, or the order in which you put the files onto the harddrive.

2)Also renaming the uniform files does not work, they also carry the slot number internally so would need hex editing.

3)i would say deleting the replays probably had the desired effect

4) colours should not really need adjusting if u use either of the new edit files as they are both identical apart from which teams have got the 'scan' option turned off or on (although contrast etc.. varies on different displays)

ok mate so you think you've deciphered how to mix the home and away from one of the big four and the home kits from the other teams...if you look higher up page 23 you'll see the problem that i was having when i tried to mix them...so a step by step how to mix the two would be much appreciated mate...

I've been trying to get this to work using the XPort but I've hit a brick wall and can't find the answer on here.

My first issue was that I couldn't see any folders in partition 3. I downloaded the code junkies software for the XPort and this fixed the problem.

My new problem is that when i click on partition 3 i can see the following folders (in the left hand column):

$TitleUpdate
Content (user profiles, saves, etc)
$SystemUpdate
Cache (Used by the System)
mindex (music, etc)

If I'm right I should be clicking on the Content folder and looking for another folder called something like 0000000000. But all it does is bring up the same list of folders in the right hand column, If I try to click on the content folder in the right hand column nothing happens (I am double clicking).

Any Ideas ?

I've got an elite so I'm using the 120 gig hard drive.

dunno mate.... all i can recommend is to open EVERY folder in every partition untill u find the pes 2008 folder . Also another consideration is A)if u r using vista B)do u need to update the drivers (manually update drivers and point to the xport download as the source).

I'm using XP, I've been through all the folders in partitions 2 and 3 theres only 4 or 5 things I can open. Theres loads of folders in partion1 but they are all symbols numbers and letters.

What drivers am i updating Xport or my hard drive and where do i get the drivers from?

No worries...

First off, I used Xsata to transfer the files to my HD.

I deleted all my replays off my Hard-Drive, and deleted my edit file, and any exsiting Uniform files on my HD. (I left all my saved games on my HD, and obviously my option file)

I then transfered the 8 homes kits and the edit files that came with that, onto my HD....I then Booted up PES on my 360 to make sure it was working, and it was - All 8 home kits were there, assigned to the right teams.

Knowing that it was all good so far, I then booted up xsata again, and then swaped Man Utds away kit (found in the other bin file) for Villas home kit....They're both labeled 'Uniform 4', so you dont have to rename anything.

I booted up my 360, and all the kits were there...just not assigned correctly. I then just assigned the right kits, to the right club. Go to 'edit team', go into the kits, and select 'scan'. You'll then see all 8 scanned kits. So for example, If you're doing team editing for Man United, go into the editing kit section, and then select scan. When you're there, just press the right trigger to select the United's away kit, and then select the picture of the black Man Utd kit from the scans. And you're done. Repeat for all the other teams. I had to also get rid of any scans on Chelseas, Arsenals, and Liverpools away kit, because they were obviously for other teams.

At the end, I transfered my old edit file back too, and everything was fine....If you want to do that as well.

Hmmmm....well it should be in the content folder. I browse with Xplorer360 with xsata...but its surely all the same.



My pro folder is located in the content folder, then in that, the second folder from the top (I think theres 5 overall), and then in that, my Pro folder is second from bottom (And in this theres dozens of folders here).

You know your in the right place when you come across saved files for other games.

IMPORTANT!!!


What i found (and i don't know if anyone else has had this problem) is that for those that used solely ALL THE UNIFORM FILES from the "8 kit version" of the v2 file then the ASTON VILLA H/KIT (uniform 04 in 8 kit version) will appear on the MAN UTD away kit strip --- the EVERTON H/KIT (uniform 05 in 8 kit version) will appear on the CHELSEA away kit strip--- WEST HAM H/KIT (uniform 08 in the 8 kit version) will appear on the LIVERPOOL away kit strip---and finally the MAN CITY H/KIT (uniform 03 in the 8 kit version) will appear--yep you guessed it...on the ARESNAL away kit strip...

Infact reading this, you're half way there. Just go into team editing of whatever team you want to edit, select scan, and choose the correct picture (pictures of all 8 kits will be shown). And in the case of Arsenals, Liverpools, and Chelseas away kit, where you choose 'scan', just select the other option to remove the scans.
