not being funny but there is no explanation of how to install for the newbies that keeping asking that is why alot of ppl are going to GTM if u want more hits guys make a post how to install for them if u want i can do it for you but its ur thread not mine and grt work on the file
I will put instructions up or get goalgerd to update the first post on the thread when its finished.
Believe me, the amount of work that has gone into this we are not just going let it get released without making more people aware of it.
Not sure, I have a few championship teams to finish.
Started my first master league today and set it to Top Player and played about 10 games with Porto. I have drawn 1 league game and won and drawn 2 cup games and lost the rest.
I set the league up so that there is quality teams from a round the world in my division so I am playing tough games - lost 4-1 to Man U, 3-1 Man City, 2-0 Valencia, 1-0 Lazio and 2-0 Dortmund. I am still experimenting with my formation and I am sure the games are getting closer, but its a challange
I have about 15 teams left. All national teams are complete as well

Just to clarify, I install the file that is present on Goalgerds sig and then install the hotfile linked contents Chimps posted up?
Giving this a whirl tonight. Love the work you guys do with the game. Always seems to eek a little more out of the game. I just hope PES2012 doesn't demand quite as much tinkering as is required with PES2011. Chimps needs a well earned rest from all this!

Just to clarify, I install the file that is present on Goalgerds sig and then install the hotfile linked contents Chimps posted up?

I am just about to put an update. I don't think my previous update would work with the latest konami patch. If I get the time I will upload my current edit file tonight. Its nearly finished, if I don't get uploaded tonight, I will tomorrow.

Looks like I decided to give PES2011 on PS3 another try at just the right time. The Wii version has demanded most of my attention of late.
Will be sure to feedback on my experiences once I have had a few games.
I noticed the main file is only 316 files in size - nice work keeping it nice and trim guys. Unless my PS3 has conspired to somehow read only some of the file.

I noticed a couple of pages back you were saying how assigning speed merchant improves dribbling. Have you implemented this find into this update or are you leaving that for the user to try themselves?

Chimps/Goalgerd I don't now what you guys have done but this has proven to be the best night of PES I have had on next-gen.
I have been playing the game using Chimps latest gameplay update with a +1 game speed setting and it is marvelous! +1 might sound too fast but I always think that game speed isn't too much of an issue as long as the AI and general ebb and flow of play are in place. Classic PS2/PC PES was always generally pretty fast/frantic at times but it's strength was that you could dictate pace and feel in control. Added to the fact that PES2011 is still a little short in the animations department, I feel turning up the speed gives the illusion at least of a smoother experience all round and whatever in the hell these guys have done has not only brought back some of that missing intensity and overall immersion, but along with it comes a very satisfying challenge.
Being of the opinion that when playing against the AI it only really starts to push you when playing competitively whether that be in CL mode or another competition, I decided to start a CL campaign on Top Player with Napoli. I was drawn with Chelsea, Unirea and Anderlecht and what would have proved before to be a pretty straightforward(and dull) progression to the last 16, proved in fact to be bloody hard to the point I didn't qualify with a game to spare.
Sorry for the long post but I am amazed at what you guys have done to a game that was lucky to last a few matches with me before I just wished I was playing the Wii version. The AI seem far more aggressive and creative yet along with it the fine tuning performed by chimps/goalgerd seem to allow for more expression amongst such intensity. I dunno how else to put it except that I felt more ''stuff'' was happening than before and that the game played out more organically.
Goalgerd - Keep up the superb work in offering a great OF that feels truly complete and offers a nice variety of teams. I know many pine for a full Bundesliga and/or Championship but I like the perfect blend you have here as it allows for more flexibility when setting up an ML. You have not only brought a layer of authenticity but also that fantasy element that made PES so compelling for me for all these years. I am sure this is a labor of love and it shows. Fantastic stuff!
Chimps - Mate, there are so many questions I want to ask you as to how you have somehow managed to make this game so much fun to play for me again. I said earlier that you need a rest and that Konami should be doing all the work but even if Konami do tick all the boxes for PES2012 I have a feeling you could still enhance it further. Firstly thanks for taking the time to give detailed feedback and I am glad you enjoyed it.
With regard to the speed of the game, it depends not only on preference, but what team you are using and even what stadium you are in. I did a lot of work with players passing speed to try and get the feel of it more realistic and so that you couldnt get from your goal to the oppositions from a goal kick in a couple of short passes. This also makes the game tougher as the opposition have more time to close you down.
If you chose a different team other than Napoli, you may find the having the default speed was enough. Also, the stadium plays a part too, I think that some stadiums play slower and I think this is down to processing power needed being different on each. Having spent so much time working this game out, I am sure their is a difference in stadiums and times of day. When the game plays slower because of the additional processing power needed, it also feels less responsive.
You will also notice a difference in smoothness and response if you have a PS3 hard drive that is full or empty. I spent months getting the game to feel right, then installed Gran Turismo 5 and when I went back to PES, it had slowed as GT5 took up almost all the hard drive.
Glad you found it more challanging, that and making it more enjoyable and the goals of the game play update. You should try a master league against the top teams, its very difficult on top player, but you get so much more out of it.
I think there will always be room for improvement in future PES games. I am sure a lot of the changes from last years game are stuff I normally do. I noticed that a lot of the default stats of teams had been changed to be a lot closer to what I change them too, especially Teamwork and Aggression.
When this is finished I am going to open a thread of WENB and EVOWEB
