If there was a off-topic porn thread, would anyone bother to reply on these threads?

Anyway, there would have to be guidelines for that thread or it would go too far and be closed.

Anyway how would I go about reducing the pixels on a image so I could use it as my avatar?

It's up to whoever is in charge if a topic is closed and not much can be done about it. That's why people would have to be careful.

To make your avatar, what you can do is this:
Open your pic in something like Paintshop Pro 7.
Then you can go to - Image -> Resize
and choose the size you want although pixel size dimensions is usually the best way to do it as some sites have a max pixel limit.
When it is resizes, check it looks right before saving it again.
That's about it.
