The Chaparral 2J Race Car just popped up on my Used Car Dealership. It is a whopping 15,000,000 credits, though. Damnit.

I actually have two of them. :smug:
You unlock it to purchase at a certain A-spec level. However, I received it as a gift from Polyphony Digital (GT5 makers) - there was a point where there was a bit of downtime with the servers and I think as a 'sorry' to all their GT5 players, they announced that when Sebastien Vettel won the F1 championship, they'd give everyone a free X2010.
Something evidently went wrong when I logged in, but the message came up twice and I got two.
I was testing the Chevrolet Camaro (the one in the PESGaming garage list) and I must say - it will make for some excellent racing. It doesn't have that high a top-speed, but the sound of the engine is just amazing. It also handles quite well for an American muscle car.

That isn't a problem.
The horsepower the Civic supposedly goes up to after race-modifications are made is 194 BHP (not 204 as you mentioned).
However, the actual amount displayed when you buy the car and look at it in your garage can sometimes be a few out from that.
The horsepower also moves a few either way depending on how many times you'vr raced the car.
Basically, not a problem - get yourself in the lounge ASAP!

Iron, is your car rubbish or are you just a Marge Simpson/Stewart Jackson from Renford Rejects type of driver? From the start I seemed to be able to accelerate past you with ease and I couldn't really understand why as we both seem to have the same car.
I found it pretty tough last night as it was the first time I'd gone round without the driving line so my skills were really put to the test. Those shortcut penalties were very harsh though as I got caught out on a couple several times, especially the steep turn downhill where you can't even see the corner 'til you go over it.
The games could probably do with being made more competitive as for both races the outcome was exactly the same and I imagine it won't change much in future races. I ended up skidding off the track in the second race and starting from the back to make it a bit more interesting as sitting in 3rd place looking at Appswah far in the distance for 11 laps was getting a bit boring. Abu was behind me but quite far away so there was no worry there.

Going to put some work in now till the weekend when my internet goes active so I can challenge the pes gaming gt5 hierarchy. :joel:.

The track was a hardone but I did finally get the hang of most, if not all corners. Nifty has some skill though keeping his car on the track whilst staying flat out from the end of Corner 3 to the steep turn downhill with out braking...I always went off if I didn't brake.
The second race I would have been like 10 seconds closer if I didn't go off on the final corner.. and as for all the time penalties I got on the steep turning corner :facepalm:. I used one of the white signs on the road to know when to start braking but on lap 2 or 3 someone took it out! So I had no way to measure when to brake lol.
It was great fun though! Well done everyone.

Both. I am bad at this game I can admit; but I do see everyone accelerate ahead of me on the straightaways. I need to learn more about maintenance.
I hit the wall on the second turn of our 14 lap race - it was already over for me - tried to hurry to catch up but then over drove turn after turn until I realized I just needed to sit back and get through it....and stop from being lapped by everyone.

Getting a bit bored of this game in single player mode already!
I'm only at the Amateur stage but the races are very tedious because the A.I is so dreadful at cornering. Even in slow cars you can destroy the A.I when your on a track with many corners.
Is there a difficulty level I'm missing here?
The game feels so arcade compared to gtr2 and race 07 what are the only racing games i've played for a while. Even forza felt more like a sim because you can't just bounce around corners if you brake to late on a corner, still with a nice shiny car with no performance effect.
I can't wait to get online and play with real people because the A.I is not that great on this game.
This game just feels like the ps2 gt.
No real significant improvements apart from the superficial ones.
Had so many races and not seen one spin out by the A.I
Anyone who thinks this is a sim I really suggest you get gtr2 or race 07.
The game might lack in many departments but the racing is breathtaking compared to this.

I agree with your third paragarph Mak - in fact because i played the CPU so much I didn't know what I was in store for when I played this crew. I can win offline easily but can't hold a candle against humans. (edit: can't)
I am sure it gets harder at higher levels but I have only played enough to race the Amateur and Beginner series. I think I am locked out of higher levels until enough experience is earned.
I think I am better off just practicing personal time trials to learn the lines better. but I only see myself jumping in to race the crew on weekends and otherwise I am glued to PES.
