EDIT- It looks like there were people working at the docks/boat yard, one guy had a plank of wood on his shoulder and I saw some cable cars.

So we're all in agreement then - first thing everyone's doing is scaling the Empire State Building or Statue of Liberty and diving head first off it? No parachutes of course, they are for minor breakers.
Genius idea for a mission which you could tell Rockstar would do - if there's a zoo, they should have a huge gorilla break out and scale the Empire State Building, and you have to shoot it down with a Bi-Plane. Its begging to be done. Fuck knows about context, but who gives a shit about that.
I want to be able to hijack ferries with people on them and sink the cunts.

Was I the only one disappointed that all the speculation of possible locations for the new GTA and it ends up at Liberty City? I was hoping for something fresh but I guess Liberty City has to do.
I wonder if planes will be in the game? -__-

The game will take place in a version of New York. The name of the state is unknown. I've always said it might be called New Liberty, because it looks like they are continuing the trend of "fake" cities/state names. Liberty City will be part of this state, but as we can see, there is much more to this state than just LC. Liberty City itself has not changed, aside from the obvious graphical upgrade. Now, anyone remember Shoreside Vale in GTA 3 and LCS? It had tunnels inside it's mountains, that were blocked off. These tunnels lead to the other sections of this un-named state, that LC is in. In LCS, there is a sign that says "Upstate". So we can assume that the game will take place in an entire state, which includes Liberty City. We can also assume that there will be countryside, including the mountains in LC. Don't get pissed because we're going back to LC again, there will be much more to the map. And for all you know, we might visit other cities/states/countries anyway. The Empire State Building is in the trailer, as well as various other well known New York landmarks, most of which we never saw in LC/GTA 3.

Well I personally don't think they will have the old Liberty City in the game, there's little point, but for all we know there could certainly be other states/cities. That would be great, because there could be long drives in between and opportunities for countryside, mountains, rivers, forests, swamps, deserts and all that wank. I demand there be some sort of Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls type bullshit.

Well, Liberty City is New York. I'm not exactly pissed off it being in Liberty City again as out of all the settings in GTA, Liberty City was the best but I was hoping for something a bit newer that was all. Especially the fact that they have kept us guessing for awhile. They have used Liberty City in GTA, GTA III, GTA: SA (Briefly), GTA: LCS. This will probably be the best GTA out of the lot though.
Also some other signs with Liberty. Like the Ferry Tunnel has Liberty City but I think some of the letters in Liberty are not there (vandalism.)
