Guide to making a CDrip of your WE7:I Japan DVD
I´ve found this guide on evo-web, it seems to work, special thanks to "khld1" who created this one
Requirements:
1. IsoBuster. http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/
2. CDRWIN or NERO.
3. The WE7I DVD.
4. KonsoleForce RipKit. Download at: http://www.konsoleforce.ws/down/ps2/patches/KF_PS2_Winning_Eleven_7_JAP.zip
STEP 1:
Create a new Folder, name it whatever you like, and on any drive.
Example: WE7I (C Drive).
STEP 2:
Extract ALL the files from KonsoleForce RipKit zip file into your folder (WE7I).
STEP3:
Use IsoBuster to extract ALL the files from the DVD to the SAME folder (WE7I) EXCEPT DUMMY.bin, since you already extracted that file from the RipKit. Just highlight ALL the files except DUMMY, then write click and choose extract.
Note: You can create a DVD image of the game on your HD. Just right click on DVD-R, then exctract image.
STEP 4: SLPM file Check:
(a) SLPM_654.97: Proceed to STEP 5.
(b) SLPM_654.98: Rename SLPM.654.98 to SLPM.654.97. Then open SYSTEM.CNF with notepad and change the text on the first line to where it says SLPM.654.97, then save the file.
STEP 5:
Decide which commentry language you want (you can only have 1).
Open konsoleforce ripkit software and choose the language you want from the menu (i recommand Japanese) and click get it. wait for about a minute for iso to build.
Note 1: I tried the English version, but it hangs up when you choose English at the beginning of the game. Personally, I would suggest a Japanese commentary version.
Note 2: All the languages text will be available, but only 1 commentary language you chose at STEP 4. Once you choose a commentary langauge and rip the image, all the DATA_X.AFS files on your folder are not reusable for another commentary rip. If you decide to make another language version, you only have to extract a new DATA_X.AFS files from the DVD.
STEP 6:
Your iso should now be in your folder. The size is about (638MB) for the Japanese Rip. Now you can choose whether you want to use CDRWIN or NERO.
Option 1: CDRWIN:
(a) Open CDRWIN and click on the fourth option from the left on the top row where it says
backup tool/operation.
(b) Select record an ISO9660/udf image file. next to the image file, select your new image.
(c) Now click START, a new window will appear, with options below must be Disc Type; CDROM-XA and the track mode MODE 2. Make sure the finalize/close session and write postgap boxes are checked. Now Click Record Disc.
Option 2: NERO:
(a) First make sure that Click file, then Burn Image.
(b) Select your image from the folder.
(c) A new window will appear. make sure that the finalize CD and Write boxes are checked. At Write method box, choose "Disc-At-Once".
(d) Select writing speed, then click WRITE.
Bin/Cue Option: To create a bin/cue image, first we need to convert the iso file to a .bin and .cue file. To do this:
(a) Open your new image in CDMAGE and select the first option M1/2048 track (*.iso),
then select FILE->SAVE AS.
(b) Now select a name for your .bin image, and makesure that the file type is Fireburner BIN/CUE. Click SAVE.
(c) The save options will now appear, Under convert tracks and after the word 'to' select MODE2/2352. Click OK. CDMAGE will now create a new image with extension .bin and .cue (2 files).
Now you can burn the bin/cue image using Nero. Select recorder->record image and select your .cue file.
Note: When a new patches comes out for DVD, you will be able to play the patched DVD on a CD. All you have to do:
(a) Open the DVD using IsoBuster and create a DVD image of the game on your HD. Just right click on DVD-R, then exctract image.
(b) Patch the DVD image using ppf-o-matic3.
(c) Go through the guide to great a iso image, then burn it to a CD.
