I´m a little bit confused. Don´t understand what you´re talking about. There is no rar, just an iso, and you should normally be able to open it with CDMage.

after i ran the pes3 bat file i've got a soccer3 file which is of the correct size but in rar format??

so i tried again ..but the when i ran the pes3 bat file i got an error message ..

Strange. Rename the soccer.rar in soccer.iso and go on, I think it should be ok.

Are you guys aware that there are double badges on the kits?

Some keeper kits arent authentic and have no Sponsor - eg. Celtic and Rangers.

If you are using a downloaded option file - your kits wont show up - go and set them all to default for home and away and this should solve your prob.

I don't know Henrik, I cant be bothered to search through 10 pages worth of - "Why does my image not work in Cdmage".

The point is, is there a fix for it mate?

Yep, set all the kits to default plus turn all the badges off in edit mode so you are left with just the patched badge on the kit.

At the beginning of the thread it has the guide and steps to patching, on the following step I would like to ask the question:

6)On left side where it says iso in red,RIGHT click->choose extract...find new folder on desktop called pes3dvd.

I have'nt been able to test my swap disks at yet as my attempts at patching are poor, so would I be able to burn step 6 and make a backup of PES3 and run this on my ps2 if I burned it as an ISO?

You won't be able to burn anything until step 16. All the previous steps lead up to this and burning anything then would probably be a waste of time and CDR.

right forget patching for a moment

Can I make a backup copy of PES3 and have it burnt to CDR?

Or is that impossible seeing that the PES3DVD folder is arounds 2gb's

is it a patch or is it a necessary file in setting things up in ripping my pes3?

I cant find it on ftp lomungtung.no-ip.com

If you want to make a backup of a DVD, it won't fit onto a CDR. A DVD is much bigger than a CD - hence the whole point of the ripping guide, to bring it down to CDR size.

You do need the FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar file - it says so in the guide. If you check the first post of this thread, you'll see an edit by me showing you where else you can get the file from.

Yep. I just downloaded the FLASH file again.
Go to this post and click on where it says HERE - the link to frutsel. The file should download and it takes a very short time. Plus there is the link to the location at lomungtung in there too.

When I opened up PES3.BAT as suggested on the guide I got the following message half way through

Done,
Done, is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file,
Press any key to continue…..

I have have taken a screen dump of the problem and added it as an attachment, BMP file
